  1. You're right. It still stinks, but you're right. Go figure that the minute my mom retires, I'm seeing her LESS than before.
  2. You know what stinks? For the first time in a while, I would be able to visit my parents for Easter. Both my g/f and I got the Monday after Easter off, and since my mom was recently retired, she wouldn't have to go to work the next day, so we were all really excited about Easter dinner and visiting them. But now, even if there's no lockdown or anything, I'd wonder if visiting them could risk exposure to something if I'm an asymptomatic carrier. Might have to not take off that day if that's the case and stay local. =\
  3. As someone who hoped she would get replaced in 2018, I don't know if this one's a story. She sold stock in a biotech company that wasn't doing well, and if I'm reading correctly, is growing in the stock market at this time. That seems quite a bit different than Burr and Loeffler who sold shares in hotels and bought shares in work-from-home companies, respectively.
  4. She loved it. Also, she used to play Sonic a lot, so Sonic Mania seems PERFECT for co-op.
  5. Man, a month ago seems so far away now, eh? We're in the endgame, and after this we're likely going to get into Overcooked 2, my Genesis Mini and probably Sonic Mania. w00t! Highly recommend Overcooked for the special person in your life.
  6. If it's just a few sites and not others, reset your router. I did and everything's working. Not that ultra peak times aren't gonna be an issue, but this fixed a lot!
  7. Is anyone's streaming service or internet in general on some sites being REALLY slow? Hulu won't load on my laptop or PS4, can't get into my health insurance site, but I'm able to do d1p, Resetera and Facebook.
  8. Times like these that I'm happy to have Blu-Rays and some Ultra HD Blu-Rays at the ready.

  10. @skillzdadirecta I guess if there's a silver lining, you can finally hear people say "economic anxiety" and agree with it!
  11. Sounds about right. And the ones with health insurance tied to their jobs, yeesh, the stress of that. =\
  12. Some developer reactions. Developer on Reset: "What John is saying sounds pretty right to me! I don't want to down play GPU power, but I promise everybody that you will be absolutely blown away by visuals on both consoles. However, the SSDs are the big difference when coming into this gen. We're not talking about "load times" in the classic sense. That's an antiquated way of thinking about data coming from your hard drive. For the last 10+ years we've been streaming worlds on the fly. The problem is that our assets are absolutely huge now, as are our draw distances, and our hard drives can't keep up. It means that as you move through the world we're trying to detect and even predict what assets need loading. Tons of constraints get put into place due to this streaming speed. An ultra fast drive like the one in PS5 means you could be load in the highest level LOD asset for your models way further than you could before and make worlds any way you want without worry of it streaming in fast enough. The PS5 drive is so fast I imagine you could load up entire neighborhoods in a city with all of their maps at super high resolution in a blink of an eye. It's exciting. People don't realize that this will also affect visuals in a big way. If we can stream in bigger worlds and stream in the highest detail texture maps available, it will just look so much better. I think the Xbox drive is also good! The PS5 drive is just "dream level" architecture though."
  13. The difference between young and old people's risk of serious illness is pretty big. West Virginia is at the highest risk for adults in general.
