  1. I would honestly avoid boss strategies as much as you can. With a couple exceptions, many of the bosses you can hide from and try to figure out, including the Tower Knight, by looking at his patterns. For many of the bosses in Demon's Souls specifically, there is a much easier way to take them down than their appearance would indicate.
  2. https://rhg.com/research/preliminary-us-emissions-2020/ 2020, as we know and as these preliminary numbers show, was a different year due to the pandemic. But even despite that, we've seen an indisputable trend down since 08/09. This coincides with a drop in coal usage and in increase in renewables and natural gas. If it weren't for COVID/economic distress, we still would have seen a reduction in carbon emissions. Well said on human suffering. Obviously, it's great that carbon emissions dropped, but doing this without the suffering/mental anguish of people is the goal. I'm feeling more hopeful under Biden, actually, based on some early moves of his.
  3. There's been much news so apologies if this was posted, but Zip Tie and his mom are under arrest. Eric Munchel, Capitol rioter with zip ties, and his mother charged with conspiracy WWW.NEWSWEEK.COM Footage of the Capitol riot shows Eric Munchel and Lisa Eisenhart among the mob inside the Senate chambers.
  4. I remember this guy! Let's see how he's doing: Angry Bagel Guy Hospitalized After Suffering Apparent Stroke WWW.TMZ.COM The Angry Bagel Guy is currently in a New York hospital after suffering an apparent stroke. Less than 15 minutes, but I gotta say, if anyone listened to his interview back in 2019 when he was blocked by a porn star, he truly believed he was entitled to 10/10 women that he could fuck repeatedly over and over and called the porn star a "clout chaser" since he thought he was famous. too short, didn't read: he had nothing to capitalize on and had a stroke and I'm the only one who remembers him.
  5. On the Entertainment board, I posted that he was flawed and linked to that, though they changed it pretty quickly. That's why Keyser said he was flawed.
  6. The headline originally read talented but flawed producer, but it looks like they changed it after backlash.
  7. Umbasa. Okay, even as someone who played a couple Souls games prior to this, 1-2 felt like a big spike in difficulty compared to 1-1. The beginning of the game felt harsh for me, and I found myself farming a bit and felt I was going backward, but it's not as hard as it looks. It's hard, but not that hard to the point where you'll be farming all the time. Here are some tips: There are times when you can avoid a powerful enemy. As said in another post, there's an alternate route you can use to avoid at least one of the bridges. And if you helped that guy in 1-1, you can help him again in 1-2, and he can take out some ground enemies for you. There are five archstones. You're on 1-2, but the way they all work, each stage of a world is harder than the previous. 1-1/2-1/3-1/4-1/5-1 are the easiest of theirs, and then X-2 is harder. So you don't HAVE to try 1-2 right now. See how you feel about 2-1. Or 3-1. On that note, if the dragon were dead, it might be easier for you. So maybe don't bother with him yet. Each world has its own dangers, so the most beneficial armor for you may change depending on the world you're in. AND how hard a world is may depend on what your build is. If you're a magician, you're gonna one of the worlds easier and better for you than others. If you're a melee character with piercing weapons, you'll likely find another world much easier. Each world also has its own benefits -- its own people you can rescue who may be VERY helpful, item drops that work better for certain characters (if you're having time finding spice, maybe another world has more of it, for example), etc. If you want a way to get a feel for the level without risking your souls, maybe plop down a blue eye stone marker and wait for someone to summon you for help. It'll give you the opportunity to co-op, to learn the enemies' attacks, and find shortcuts from good players. Don't feel frustrated. EXPECT to die. It's okay! As hopeless as it can feel, you will never get yourself to a point where it's impossible to beat the game. The game isn't cheap, so you'll never feel like you're hopefully outnumbered because it's meticulous with its enemy placement and level design.
  8. Biden agenda of executive actions on Day 1 to address immigration, climate and pandemic WWW.LATIMES.COM In his first hours as president, Joe Biden plans to take executive action to roll back some decisions of his predecessor and to address the pandemic.
  9. This also matches the kind of anger from previously nice people that I've witnessed: I feel like I had an argument with @Alpha1Cowboy about how the craziness was always there, while he said it's skyrocketed. I take back what I said as I've seen one too many previously normal conservatives go batshit crazy since QAnon became a thing.
  10. I was listening to an NPR story where they found a subreddit of QAnon stories, people whose family members went off the deep end. One of the constants was the lockdown because they had so much time on their hands.
  11. Biden plans early legislation to offer legal status to 11 million immigrants without it WWW.LATIMES.COM During his first days in office, President-elect Joe Biden plans to unveil a legislative proposal that would include a path to citizenship for 11 million immigrants in the U.S...
  12. Returnal combat details: Upgradable weapons, otherworldly tools, and risky buffs BLOG.PLAYSTATION.COM How Housemarque is equipping you to survive its upcoming PS5 action shooter.
  13. Social Network made Zuckerburg actually seem more likable than in real life. Same goes for Larry Summers.
  14. He sent the 2000 tweet after the 600 dispersed tho. Why not just go for 2000? He won’t even have to fight for it.
  15. It feels weird to campaign on $2000 checks and then give 1400 ijs. If he said 2000 total stimulus then that make sense but he tweeted out $2000 checks after people already received $600 ones.
  16. Some are saying $2000. Biden did: And, for example, this: Biden expected to include $2,000 checks, new child benefit in major new stimulus proposal WWW.INQUIRER.COM Biden transition officials have not disclosed the overall price tag of the package, but it is expected to be more than $1 trillion. 3rd stimulus checks: Biden expected to unveil COVID-19 relief plan with $2,000 payments KTLA.COM Under a recent Democratic plan that may provide some insight, people making up to $115,000 annually would get a payment. Couples making up to $200,000 would see cash. But I'm also seeing some say $1400: Stimulus check update: Biden to unveil plan for $1,400 payments; unemployment extension WWW.WSBTV.COM President-elect Joe Biden will unveil on Thursday a COVID-19 relief package he hopes to get through Congress that will include a stimulus check, an extension of federal unemployment insurance benefits and aid to small businesses. So I dunno who's correct.
  17. Old Hunters is a new area, but if you ended up there, then it would have been easy to get back to Hunter's Dream if things were difficult. Makes me think you were killed and then brought into a prison? But the difficulty isn't THAT bad there considering that section is meant to be done earlier.
