  1. However, my mistake doesn't seem to be the problem that so many others are having.

    They can't launch from the access hub.

    @number305

    Yeah, numbers, the real player motion does change things.  Running after a catch isn't as fluid, but honestly, it maybe a little more real. The game is beautiful and the presentation is better.

    I am getting older or I just don't game enough anymore.  I used to be able to play well on all pro and actually reasonably well on all madden...those days are gone.

    however, let's be real, it could also be that I play as the Bills and I don't tweak the team anymore.

    i got it going.  Ridiculously simply fix for me, but still not for others.

    last year when I did a trial I just downloaded and played (NHL 18).  I am absolutely not saying it cures the problem for everybody that has been trying for days to get it fixed, but with me it was launching the game in the ea access hub, which I had not downloaded before.  I did not have to do that last year, but it worked with Madden.

    i only have a half hour in, and who knows, it may not work the next time.  However, I got a nice taste and I do like it quite a bit.

    more impressions when I can put more time in.

    Have you tried uninstalling it and then redownloading the game?

    Keyser, I haven't, and I know some have said that working with MS they have uninstalled EA Access and REPURCHASED.

    I dont want to do that on my own, because I just want to repurchase the time I have left, if possible, or at least get the credit.

    additionaly, I am weary of uninstalling something I've purchased, but haven't used yet.  However, I am willing to try.

    Thanks, btw, for the suggestion.  You have been more helpful than they have.  They had me to a reset just to get rid of me.  I was very courteous to them, but they were just done at that point and didn't want to deal with this anymore and blamed EA Access.

  4. @Biggie

    Yeah, they are going to F*** me, Biggie.

    MS and EA fighting on this now, but by many accounts the help comes by way of MS.  People have been able to start playing.

    I was on with MS technical support overseas for more than an hour and at the end told me they never heard of this problem.  I said could I get patched through to another center and they said I would probably end up back there anyways.

    :facepalm:

    EA Access is awesome.  Thank you, MS.  What a weekend I had planned.

    If you play it post impressions.

    Bigs, you know I will (maybe I'll put some time in with the Falcons? :megaton:).  However, my friend, this is the thing:  I have 10 hours of play over the course of 5 days.

    I gotta be careful on how I break this up.

    My real life schedule may only leave me with just a few hours of play, but if I had my druthers it would go:

    1 hour tonight;

    1 hour Friday night (going out with my wife - Shakespeare at Delaware Park in Buffalo);

    3 hours Saturday;

    3 hours Sunday;

    2 hours Monday.

    If work in an hour less each on Sunday and Monday, leaving 2 hours on the table, well then my bad.

    Still, that gets me play time in everyday until the early access on the 7th.

    ...if you squint your eyes and tilt your head just right reading the above doesn't make me sound like a complete loser.

    :lol:

    I went with the basic edition $60. The Hall of Fame version is $80 on the PS Store. Where do you see it at $64 ?

    I actually have the last month or so of EA access.  It was an additional discount with that.  Also, I have 10 hours of play before the early release on the 7th, starting now, and also due to EA Access.

    I really believe it’s going to be the best Madden yet.

    Biggie I need to hear some early reviews.  Considering the first day available to any purchasers is August 7th, I got to think we'll be seeing something soon.

    I don't disagree with you.  However, I have a feeling it's rating will be lower than last year because it likely won't be making leaps over last year's iteration.

    Again, though, that doesn't mean it can't be considered a great game and the best in years.

    EDIT:  Please note, this doesn't change anything with what I am doing.  Meaning I will probably order the Hall of Fame Edition with the EA discount, sometime in the next couple of days.

    I really think that this will even if it wasn't coming already, going to make Microsoft really swing for the fences with their next gen system. I was a Microsoft first guy forever and have to admit I've leaned towards my PS4 pro for a long time now. I mean it's where most my gaming time is spent now. I like the controller better on the X and just think that there is going to be quite the fight for our attension in the coming years and it's a great thing for every one of us that calles themselves even remotely a gamer. Good stuff!

    Man, HA, much of what you said is my story.

    Don't get me started, BTW, because I was hard on MS in 2012-2013 for apparently resting on their laurels, which turned out to be true.  I love the X1 and I love the PS4 Pro (I like the Switch).  However, I find myself gaming less and although the games are better right now on the PS4 Pro, I just really like the services the X1 provides, as I said.

    I have a feeling if their games in the next 2-3 years don't hit that they will increasingly look to their services and less to games for their revenue.

    Damn, though, if Phil hasn't been doing a pretty darn good job the last 18 months or so.

    It sounds like it started as a pet project for some engineers and turned into something great. It was smart of Microsoft once they made a decision to sell the product to bring in the AbleGamers Foundation for their input and testing.

    Agreed.  Another conversation of, "Look, okay, so we are going to do this.  However, if we are going to do this then let's not be half-assed about it.  We have to do it right."

    Thank you, Spork.

    F*** You, Spork.

    :lol:

    You know I am just kidding, buddy. I'm jokingly shooting the messenger.  I just mean that I wish it was a little more single player.  However, Free is free and looks to be worth a try.  The enhancements look great.

    Again, and seriously, thanks man.

    It is really fantastic. We take for granted the joy we get from being able to open our own gifts or purchases. Now a disabled person will be able to open this by themselves must be a cool feeling for them. Microsoft had done a great job thinking this whole thing through.

    ManU, probably a lot of back slapping going on when they came up with the idea and when they got a workable prototype.

    Kudos to that one guy who stood up and said, "You know how we could even go just a bit further with this?"

    I love it when people sometimes get together and decide to do good and noteworthy things.
