The real question people should be asking here, skillz, is can Marvel handle the job and whether they have previously shown any sort of deft ability to not only make financially successful films, but also quality work that people enjoy.

Oh, tens of billions of dollars and rotten tomatoes scores of generally no less than 80%, you say?

OK, got it, good LUCK Marvel!

They should have turned it over to Marvel before the sale, just like WB should turn over DC to Marvel now.

AND FOR CRYING OUT LOUD DON'T SIT THERE AND TELL ME "THAT'S NOT HOW THE MOVIE BUSINESS WORKS"!

    :p:hug:

  2. Disney, cut the s*** and make an original CGI Star Wars movie like we've been clamoring for over a decade.

*But it costs a million dollars a minute to make!*

Fine, make a movie that costs $100 million dollars (1 hour 40 minute running time), and how ever much other ancillary expense necessary (director, writer, actors, etc. expenses) in bringing it up to $150 million and watch the movie gross $225 million domestically and a billion world wide.

Great move, Josh...now please don't ever do it again.

Also, Red, I believe if that third preseason game against Cincy had gone a little better for Allen he would have started the season...I think they were really setting things up for him to start, but that game made them a little gun shy.

    Love Saints - Falcons.

This...this is why I have the Sunday Ticket.

This weekend is chock full of interesting games and this Sunday may be my first Sunday of the season to sit down and watch.

So, DVR Bills and Vikes, keeping an eye on it during game time but really going through the post mortem later, and watch:

    Saints-Falcons

    Cincy-Carolina

    Niners-KC

    even Pack-Washington

Interesting and surprising stat that I looked up myself:  Fitz and Alex Smith came into the League the same year and Fitz trails Smith by only 4 tds (185-181).

I just thought it would have been larger given their records and teams.

Fitzy has made about $55 million dollars playing pro football and likely will have a job almost as long as wants, likely another 3 years after this.

Not sure anyone would have predicted that in 05.

I buy mostly digital nowadays  but the reasons I still buy physical:

    - disc may be cheaper at times

    - I still enjoy connecting with people with similar interest in stores.

    - Sometimes depending on the game I might buy a physical copy due to the nature of digital games that could disappear from PSN/Live due to licensing practices.

Hurdy, good response but I really love the "connecting with people" one.

i have so many fond memories of shooting the s*** with other gamers at GameStop.  Sometimes when the GM would close up a few of us would grab a bite to eat before heading back to game.

    ...good times.

    @BuckFly you on suicide watch?

    Not at all.

Man, though, biggie, it is simply the worst team I've ever seen and I am old enough to have seen a lot of bad teams.

very encouraged by Allen, considering the supporting cast.

...but Vontae Davis retires at halftime?  Are you kidding me?

glad we let EJ Gaines, who was cheaper, go so we could sign Davis.

    ridiculous.

The Bills should have started Tyrod Taylor.

    Indeed, Mike.

Maybe we should have kept AJ instead of giving him away to the Raiders.

You guys got a reasonably competent back-up QB for peanuts.  I do not like what's his face backing up for you behind Carr.  Please consider AJ if the need should arise for the Raiders, but hopefully it doesn't come up this year.

Pika, he should be starting...he's going to die behind that line, but he is the better of the two, by a bit.

I am not a big believer in the whole "ruin the quarterback thing".  Let him take his lumps and learn on the field.

Additionally, I've changed my mind.  If anything happens to Allen I bring in Kap.  Peterman would have to start at least a couple of games, but I would rather have Kapernick for the rest of the season, however long that might be.

I was mislead on what I thought about him based upon the when the Bills played him in 16.  The Bills beat them 45-16 and Kap was 13 of 29.  However his numbers for the season were 16 tds, 4 picks, and a 90.7 rating.  I'll take that.
