you dont find them extremely quiet? I couldnt take how I had to max the volume on them just for them to be even remotely loud.

atom, they are quiet, but I just don't need them that loud.  Keep in mind I use them when my wife and daughter might be sleeping, or doing something else, just a few feet away.

Not guaranteeing I am keeping them just yet, but so far they serve my purpose.

EDIT:  Oh, and as noted above mine are the 700s, but I believe besides the BT capability they are essentially the same.

Are you sure the phone app is supposed to work with the 600 stealth? I know you can hook it up to your PC via USB and control the settings. I know the 700 stealth have Bluetooth while the 600 do not. If you haven't up dated the firmware on the 600 I recommend that you do.

I am f***ing idiot, def.  Don't listen to a damn thing I say, other than this...I have the 700s.

However, the app still doesn't work.

    What am I at now?

OK - 39 posts to go!

For you my, friend, that is either posting 5 great articles for us to banter about, or one world event thread that has us all buzzing.

If I am not responsible for 200 of your up votes, then I should be.  Thanks for what you do and what you bring, brother.

I'm considering one but the games don't really interest me (any that do, I have or will get on PC). Is there any difference between the S and X for 4K Blu-ray playback? Are there any good upcoming games that will benefit from the X that won't be on PC and are not FPS or Sports (including Racing) games? Are there any difference between the included controllers (i.e. no Bluetooth with S but yes with X)? Since my Xbox 360 PC wireless receiver died I've been using a DS4 wired and while the trackpad is great for launching games after switching from monitor (where the keyboard and mouse are) to TV it would be nice to have something with face buttons that matched the onscreen prompts. Is there an official media remote or just 3rd Party?

I believe the X and S are identical in terms of Blu_Ray playback.

Xbox games tend to have more consistent HDR support than PC games -- so if you're gaming on a HDR TV, that may matter to you.

    Controllers are the same.

There is an official Xbox One Media Remote (and is called exactly that).  I don't have one -- I just use my Harmony remote to control it.

There is an official media remote as Mike says, but it is just that...really just bouncing between screens, and home, and starting and stopping your video.  I have it and it is good for what it does.

As far as an actually controller with numbers on it there is a third party option wherein you can control your tv functions if you have them running through your xbox.

However, please note I don't believe you can controller a DVR with it and through your xbox.

Sony went from the absolute dominant market leader in the PS2 days to dead even at best and losing the hearts and minds of gaming consumers (which MS in turn handed back to them at the beginning of this generation).

    This shit matters.

These big companies are still run by old baby boomers who never evolved with the times. They’ll be on your side until they feel like they don’t need to be financially, and then they’ll feed you shit and tell you it’s cherry pie.

Smart companies have already figured out that the younger generation will more likely support you if you take care of them. None of the gaming companies have quite gotten there yet.

Honestly, a lot of great comments here on both sides.

However, let the above also stand as reason number 18,027 on why I love 'clyp.

EDIT:  Just because you can s*** on someone because you are at the top of the ladder, and even get away with it (for awhile) doesn't mean you should.

I recommend the Turtle Beaches 600 stealth if you want to go wireless

Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Wireless Surround Sound Gaming Headset for Xbox One https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071ZRTMXF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_n6PmBb426AR5Y

or the the Hyper X Cloud Stinger

HyperX Cloud Stinger Gaming Headset for PC, Xbox One, PS4, Wii U, Nintendo Switch (HX-HSCS-BK/NA) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01L2ZRYVE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i7PmBb9CYA8HH

The Turtle Beach is usually around $80 but and the Hyper X about $50. I find the reason most headsets break is because of the cable part where it connects to the controller gets messed up. Which is why I would probably recommend going wireless if it's in your budget. My nephew's have gone through 3 Microsoft headsets one of them being my own because they always bend the cable. I got my nephew the TB 700 stealth and so far no issues with damage.

Just bought the TB Stealth 600 for the bedroom xbox.  Other than the snug fit I have nothing bad to say about them.  They work great.

I will say, outside of the headphones themselves, after a couple of tries I never got the phone app to work.  The one where you can control the settings.  However, I didn't even know about it before I bought them so I guess no harm, no foul.  NOW I WANT IT TO WORK, THOUGH!

    i7-6700k, GTX-1070 and 16 GB of DDR4.  I have a Samsung 500MB m.2 drive as my boot, and a cheap 1TB SSD for storage.

I'm feeling the need for a new video card though... :)

ohh, that m.2 is nice.  1 TB SSD is big...as in thumbs up!

1080 Ti's are becoming available and are dropping, but man $849 (what I saw somewhere over the weekend) is still a lot.

I prefer digital copies as well, particularly for longer games.  I've mostly stopped buying games at launch, and am mostly buying digital copies on sale...  As I have moved from a mostly console gamer, to a mostly PC gamer, it is easier....

Sony has had a number of 20% off one digital purchase coupons this year (with the launch of Detroit and Far Cry 5), plus GMG had an 8% off buying PSN cards...  So it is still possible to get better prices on digital if you time your purchases...

Mike, tangent:  what is your PC's guts right now?

No pressure if you don't feel like posting, buddy.

  11. 6 minutes ago, mikechorney said:

You're right.  They're almost always cheaper (including in the launch window) -- if you shop the discounts.  Publishers have to keep their retail partners happy.

Dammit, AD.  I never thought that I would become a digital download snob, yet here I am.  It is not that I won't buy hard copies anymore as I just bought the last copy of Doom 3:  BFG Edition at Best Buy last week.  However, that was out of necessity as it was never available as a digital download and I will get hard copies  now only in situations where I really have no other option.  My existing game library, with a few Sega Genesis games, but a lion share coming after the 2000 console releases, is taking up too much space as it is.

I am over my childish outburst from before.

However, thank you, Mike and if we were in the same room together I might wish to kiss you...as us being in the same room is unlikely ever to happen I am quite comfortable in mentioning my potential actions.

You should be pleased that we will never be in the same room as  I am not a pretty dude whatsoever, and my wife would be pissed.

i reread my comment, and just to be clear, Wade, I wasn't being sarcastic.  It was two totally separate thoughts.

i don't care about changing my avatar, it was long overdue. AND
