Former Pentagon chief Esper says Trump asked about shooting protesters WWW.NPR.ORG NPR's Michel Martin speaks with Mark Esper about his forthcoming book, "A Sacred Oath: Memoirs of a Secretary of Defense During Extraordinary Times." He goes on to say: Fuck you. There was a time to remove him from office and bar him from the Presidency in the future, and your party didn't take it and you didn't come forward with any of this. Not that it matters, Trump will likely win again.

While I would love to see Ukraine take Belgorod (and I think they could, theoretically), I don't think they will. Part of what is helping Ukraine (with armament) is that they are the clear "good guys" here. While it would be 100% justified to do whatever it takes to defend themselves (including strikes into Russia, etc), I don't think they will take Russian land, simply because it muddies the situation.

Also, it sounds like at least two crazies (including anti-abortion guy) qualified for the leadership contest but were denied by party leadership because they'd make the party look bad. Don't get me wrong, that's a good thing for Canada, but it shows the base of the party is still more than willing and capable of putting forward these views (and champions of them).
