It's a 5 stage fight where each stage is practically identical in the strategy you use to get through it. Oh, and you have to be near-perfect in your execution otherwise the boss's health regenerates.

My current theory is that the ship experienced a mechanical failure of its rudder which is what caused it end up in that position. -

True, but either of those could theoretically result in a lower casualty total than any semi-automatic rifle.

The final boss fight for this DLC could very well be one of the ABSOLUTE WORST I have ever experienced in all my years of playing video games. How the hell (pun fully intended!) did they ever think THAT was a good idea?!?! Overall, TAG2 is definitely easier (and maybe shorter?) than TAG1 which isn't a bad thing in and if itself... ...but that final boss fight...my God it's AWFUL!

The difference is that Sony puts you into a queue before letting you in to the store. In theory, if you're allowed to enter the store, then you should be guaranteed a console as the system should operate on the basis that you wouldn't be let in if there weren't enough for everyone.
