CitizenVectron
‘Star Wars’ Series From ‘Russian Doll’ Co-Creator Leslye Headland in the Works at Disney Plus Quote A new “Star Wars” series is in the works at Disney Plus, Variety has learned from sources. The series hails from Leslye Headland, the co-creator, showrunner, and executive producer of the critically-acclaimed Netflix series “Russian Doll.” Details of the exact plot of the series are being kept under wraps, but sources say it will be a female-centric series that takes place in a different part of the “Star Wars” timeline than other projects. Headland is said to be attached to write and serve as showrunner on the series, with the show currently staffing. Reps for Disney and Headland did not immediately respond to Variety’s request for comment. Great news on three fronts: Russian Doll was great Takes place in different timeline than anything else Female-centric
johnny
sounds good but does different timeline mean same universe or are they doing something weird

number305
What the hell does 'female-centric' mean. I like Leslye Headland and having a female lead is cool. Expected actually. I just don't know beyond that what the label implies. Was the Mandalorian 'male centric'?
IdeaOfEvil
I was kinda hoping they'd get a new animation out, but whatever. Hopefully Disney doesn't overwhelm the live action shows before they give the franchise some variety.

I would assume it means that the majority of main characters will be women rather than men, which is cool (since the opposite is the standard).
