stepee Posted April 27 Author Share Posted April 27 I lovvveee solitaire stories on vision. Came out last night. What is great is it has a button to make the “board” invisible. Meaning, all you see are the deck of cards and card placements. I love AR stuff that takes place outside of a tv like display box. Played it got like 4 hours last night and had no idea until I took the helmet off and realized it was 2am. Crossy Road Tower came out for vision also and it is actually a fantastic platformer, didnt realize. I bought the M1 iPad Pro and I've always felt like the OS is holding that thing back. Putting in a fancy new AI chip is fine (especially for the price), but I hope they find some use for all that horsepower that isn't just running some local chatbot. And yeah what that means for performance vs a regular M3 chip beyond AI. Kinda crazy that M3 just launched in November though that we would already see M4. But I guess when your chip releases are on yearly cycles it’s not that crazy. Kinda makes the naming of everything a little more confusing to customers gauging power levels though along with the very different specs of max/pro/ultra versions and even amongst a 512gb pro vs 1tb pro. So if you aren’t aware with apple vision you have a thing called “persona” where you actually face that apple vision towards yourself and it takes a 3D scan of your face. When I’m less lazy maybe I’ll post some pics, but it’s wildly accurate. So then you can facetime someone using that 3D model of yourself. And it lip syncs and tracks smiles and stuff. It’s wild. Of course there is some uncanny valley and I’m sure there are some good gatcha pics but it’s cool. Anyway so I called him and have this video bubble of him as we are talking and it’s pretty cool and on his end he sees the cg me. Then I did a show your view where he could see from my eyes which was cool. I could show him how I use it and some of the AR game stuff.
