Why do gamers still buy physical games? (Survey)

For me the best reason to go digital was to not have the clutter of game cases.

I understand it is some peoples hobby to collect them and that is great.

But really long term... someday someone is going to throw those away.  It may be you, it may be your kids when you die, but eventually all those physical game cases are getting thrown out.

Part of the experience with gaming is pulling out the box and even checking the manual if it has one. It’s also nice to easily see what’s in my collection when it’s physical and I can see unopened games I haven’t gotten around to playing. On the flip side I barely remember what I own digitally on some systems and it’s a nightmare to figure out what is there to dl (looking at u ps3/vita).

It’s also nice to know that if for some reason I need to liquidate my collection I can still get some $$ back from it (I use to build up then sell off my collection when I was bored of it to have cash to spend on the next collection)

All digital for me now, especially now that Amazon Prime offers no benefit.

1) I hate the clutter of physical disks/cases

2) I hate having to switch disks to switch games.

3) Their is ALWAYS a discount to be found.

4) I  never have to worry about scratches\losing my games.

5) I own the rights to them regardless of new PC/Console.
