CitizenVectron
Alien Hunters Discover Mysterious Signal from Proxima Centauri WWW.SCIENTIFICAMERICAN.COM Strange radio transmissions appear to be coming from our nearest star system; now scientists are trying to work out what is sending them Most likely human radio interference. If not that, still probably some unknown quirk of plasma physics or something. But still, very interesting. I really hope we try and send a laser-powered light sail nano probe. Theoretically we could get a nano probe there in 20 years with near-future tech (as opposed to 10,000 years using nuclear/chemical propulsion). Fizzzzle
If we sent a probe that took 10,000 years to get there, there's a good chance that we'd forget about it by the time it got there, then when it started shooting information back at us, we'd probably assume it was by an alien.

Comet
Isn’t that the place Bob Lazar said the supposed aliens we’ve made contact with are from? just checked - it was Zeta Reticuli, how could I have forgotten!
