If this has huge game mechanics around security cameras, and dialogue that is super-sexualized -  I’ll be REALLY surprised.

A lot of the game mechanics involve sneaking into facilities or blasting your way through using your little Creature buddy in a similar way you used the spiderbot and other gadgets in Watchdogs. I'm sure there will be similar hacking mini games, or "slicing" as it's called in Star Wars. I actually see A LOT of Watchdogs in what little gameplay I've seen. I could be wrong but I'm not pulling it out of my ass

I think an evolving dynamic narrative is by far worth the cost of "a few days without an enemy type"

If you're really gaming so much that this blip affects you, you probably already have the trophies.

It wasn't even "a few days"... it was literally a day at the most? ANybody who thought this was going to be an ongoing thing is an idiot. They JUST added new enemy types for the bots last week.

Oh, I'm not playing it - I just think it's a very interesting case study in game design that swims against the prevailing current of open-world gaming trends.

The thing that's absolutely hilarious to me is the first game did exactly the same thing and people seem surprised even though there were plenty of videos saying what the game was BEFORE the game came out. In some ways the first game was better than this one and in others, it's inferior.

Well, since my Dualsense shit the bed, I'm playing Open Roads over on Gamepass. Always up for one of these narrative heavy Annapurna Interactive games.

What happened to your controller? I feel like my right stick is starting to drift a bit.

It definitely has that 'just one more thing' to it.

Right? And the versatility in the gameplay is what gets me... I mean you could conceivably do an unarmed build if youwanted. I feel like the only thing holding this game back are the graphics and the A.I. when it comes to stealth. The enemies are truly deaf and blind when it comes to stealth gameplay. The graphics aren't terrible, but they aren't  as good looking as say a Ghost of Tsushima. It does have a more lively open world though... as I said it reminds me of a Rockstar game in that regard. The gameplay is king here though. Team Ninja NAILED it.

Anyway you can list the games instead of watching the vid?

Really? The list has chapter breaks and you could just skip to each one to see which games are there.

    10. Days Gone

    9. Quantum Break

    8. Warhammer 40k Space Marine

    7. Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen

    6. Ass. Creed Unity

    5. Spider Man Web of Shadows

    4. Deus Ex Mankind Divided

    3. Divinty Original Sin 2

    2. The Last Guardian

    1. Alpha Protocol

    Bonus games:

    Spec Ops The Line

    Watchdogs

And played 7 of the 10 on the list and beat 6 of them. Never played Ass. Creed Unity, Spiderman Web of Shadows or The Last Guardian. I think I may own Last Guardian from PS+ but I have to check. Might have Unity from Xbox Gold as well.

What's crazy is I've played and own 8 of these and beat 7 of them. I also played and beat BOTH of the bonus games. Pretty sure I beat Spec Ops on a gamefly rental, not sure if I kept it. It's going up on Ebay if so. Alpha Protocol is a game with so much potential... to bad it was a broken buggy mess.

A large part of me feels like Im done with trailers and most media on the game. Unless shocking preview gameplay impressions or reviews say the game is just crap I think I know all I need to buy the game and I don’t want any more of the story or locations spoiled. I’ll see if I can control my hype.

I kinda feel the same way. I already have an idea what this game is gonna be... Watch Dogs with a Star Wars skin. Which I'm fine with.

  9. I don't know what happened but this game has really clicked for me. Been playing a lot the last couple of days, it's pretty much taken over my Dragon's Dogma time. Really digging the open world, very Rockstar-esque chock full of quests and inetersting side characters. Combat has clicked too, just beat a boss that was giving me problems. This does feel like it's on the easier side for a Team Ninja game. Really impressed with what they did with their first open world game. It's more of livel, lived in world than most other recent open world games I've played.  FInally gonna start moving the story forward later.

Was on that Dullhan quest and found a riftstone that had a pawn that was like 4 levels above me, and it was a Capcom pawn so I decided to hire it. Thing is like a tour guide saying, "I know of two locations of interest around here" and I took it up on the offer and it brought me to a place I would have never thought of going to so cool on them.

Also I think @skillzdadirecta was asking me earlier about traveling at night. But the interesting thing in this game is there is a benefit to doing it because things glow at night such as the seekers tokens or the bugs that increase carrying capacity so I've found myself traveling night and day most of the time. When my health gets low or pawns cry too much about being tired I might go home and rest. :p

yeah I've found at least three of those Capcon pawns and they're great. You have a chance to get them when you find those broken riftstones in the wild. They typically know a lot of the quests and are pretty high level. Also they're usually free to hire if you find them.
