I don’t know what the deal is with Alma or what you’d even know it exists. Literally the only thing I know about it is Morgan Nick was kidnapped there and never found.

I don’t really understand part of that, but there are definitely brown immigrants doing most of the landscaping and such here. 

I’ve never given it a thought. Don’t have one. If people use them in my neighborhood, I probably don’t notice any difference from the sound of mowing or whatever. 

We've gotten a couple inches already. My neighborhood is full of steep hills and I just took my truck out to park past the hills so I can get to work tomorrow night. Made it fine, but shit, that wind and snow on my face in 10 degrees is brutal. Yet neighborhood kids are out sledding like nothing in the world bothers them.

Just move isn't a solution. There will always be people who cannot afford to do so and it's not like these coastal paradises are even affordable for the average person in a flyover state.

Brought my 3DS to work tonight and I’m in my little isolated cubby hole still sick. I’ll probably get some Fire Emblem in tonight once they’re all asleep. 

Expecting snow here tomorrow and Monday and I have work Monday night. My truck does fine, though. Gonna be brutal cold, though. I just hope we don’t lose power because our provider is horrible here. But the generator is ready to go in case. And we have a gas fireplace. 

The stores I saw during my trip definitely back that up. Nintendo ain't going anywhere.

Starting on a classic, Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. Been meaning to get to this one for years. I want to see the 2019 movie when I'm done.

He tested some of our oldest carts today, OoT and Star Fox and they were fine. Hopefully it's not a widespread issue at this point.

This was  the first time I'd booted up FE. It was one of the only games I haven't played yet in the series and I finally decided to get around to it.

Sooo, when I went to play this last night, game kept crashing right away. Apparently I had a corrupted cart? Anyone ever experienced this? @chakoo?

Husband ran the cart on some verification app on his 3DS and it ran into issues immediately. I just said fuck it and downloaded a ROM because I wasn't paying $30 for another cart. He ran the cart on some program  this morning and apparently got it fixed because it'll verify now. But it makes me paranoid of my other 3DS carts.

Just booked a flight to Atlanta in April and it’s a 737-900. I should be safe.

This is one of those movies I never got around to seeing despite it being regarded as a classic. The nearly 3 hour runtime is a bit intimidating up front but the film is so engaging the movie flows by rather quickly. Right from the opening credits you see this cast is stacked from top to bottom Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro are the headliners but Henry Rollins, Dennis Haysbert, even Xander Berkeley! In any case another heist movie from Mann, it even feels like there was an ode to Thief in one of the earlier scenes. The film is one part heist movie, another part crime movie and then a revenge movie sprinkled in the mix sort of. But it's well written enough that we can see the plight of Al Pacino's cop character and Robert DeNiro's criminal character. In the end it comes down to who's going to sacrifice more to get what they want.

Hey, I recently...acquired...that one. One of those I haven't seen, but plan on soon.

I've certainly had disagreements with @Greatoneshere in the past, but the guy is thoughtful and one of  the more respected users here.

Anyhoo, Overseer + Plex is the best. However, I do keep a Netflix sub because there's quite a lot of shows I watch or want to watch on it.

First completion on the year is in the books. Beat Super Mario World for the first time ever on my own. I did the GBA game on my Analogue Pocket. 10/10, I mean what bad can you say about Super Mario World?

Yeah, way lttp here, never seen it before. Definitely plays into those Native stereotypes with the whole white savior thing at play, but a well done movie. 

Been playing Super Mario World on my Pocket. Wanna beat it for the first time on my own.

I need to get back to Spider-Man 2. Haven't played it since before Christmas, but I've largely been out of town or working. And I'm miserably sick this weekend and haven't felt like doing much of anything for long.
