  1. What I hate also about BFV is the lack of rifles we had for medics in bf1, the cei rigotti, mondrafon, rsc etc... Those guns were so much fun in bf1 and felt so awesome to use, they're actually some of my all time favorite rifles to use in a shooter. Although I think the scout class or whatever has the RSC or a variant, can't remember... But the guns in bf5 just feel weak overall. And I agree about the maps in bf1, they just are easier to navigate and actually make sense. The maps in bf5 are just huge open pieces of land where anyone can practically hit anyone, I hate it so bad
  2. Thanks man, yea it's nice being back on a forum that I can actually keep up with lol resetera got to a point where I couldn't keep up and I got tired of that. Well I can definitely take a peek at those, but overall I think I'll just always be more attracted to your battlefields, halo, battlefront etc... Type match based shooters as I find them still really fun but also relaxing. Sadly I wish I got more into survival and br type genres, but they just don't ultimately appeal to me. But the thing is I'm always up to try, I never just outright shut a genre or series out, its simply a matter of what sticks.
  3. Interesting read Skillz, thanks for that. So pretty much what he misses is definitely what was a huge turn off for me in general, as I found that aspect of the build up to be pretty boring after doing it a few times. That's why I think ultimately I do find some more enjoyment with apex since you don't seem to go AS long until a firefight. Like he said tho about how cutthroat they are it isn't about winning really, for me I'm just way to competitive to not get those wins throughout a session. I'm at a point where I play as much as I can with games, but I don't have a set 2 or 3 man crew that I can play games like these to their fullest. I log in at odd times during a day based on my work schedule so it's to hard to really lock that stuff down and I'm ok with it, but it's just how it is. Overall tho I'm glad they're moving into a more fast paced style as that will always be a better draw for me match to match. And I wish there could be a better loot system that eventually hits BRs as I'd probably be more driven to grind them if it was more than skins.
  4. I'd love if they focused more on classic adventure gaming as opposed to how telltale was an interactive book. I'm playing Mages Initiation which is inspired from Quest for Glory, and it's awesome It's well worth the 13 or 15 bucks that it is, feels so classic and old school but with a modern day. Check it out if any of you are into the classic adventure games. It just came out
  5. I don't get into twitch or anything like that, so that stuff doesn't matter to me. But good for respawn, glad they're going to do well with it.
  6. Oh yea with a squad it's definitely better, but still there's a heightened sense of tension since the match is over if you're ganked and your squad gets wiped. But the ultimate aspect for me is just the constant action in standard shooters, you die and boom you're back in the fight... That'll forever be my go to. But I gave pubg, fortnite and blackout br all a shot prior to AL, and legends definitely has a better feel
  7. I'm referring to the anxiety aspect, loot hunt from the get go, who's where etc... That doesn't change for me BR to BR. As for being good, Im happy with how I play pretty much every game especially shooters. Im not the greatest but no where near the worst at a 1.8-2.5ish in pretty much most shooters, and like I said I'm happy with that. I could totally be decent at Royales if I really got into them but at the end of the day just as you find tdm boring, I find the overall premise of BR fairly boring after a few matches. I have enjoyed it a little but after 6 to 8 matches I'm pretty much good to turn it off. But like you said to each their own and that's totally fine, we all have our preference.. Classic PvP will never be old for me tho that's for sure. I also need more than skins in a game for a draw point, chasing skins is meh to me. But as I said ultimately this feels better to me than other BR games I've tried, any BR that doesn't have a silly build mechanic during combat is already a better game
  8. Yea definitely more of the same although thats something I'm happy to see as I hoped they wouldn't mess with the actual formula. It's all about that end game, even tho division finally fixed their end game it took about a year and I was long gone by then so I hope they really have the end game here solid and in a good direction. I agree about the loot as exotics and what not need to really feel special, getting a bunch that all aren't that much different isn't that fun. If divisions loot was similar to that of destiny in terms of their exotic type gear, I could see myself being hooked for months.
  9. Either way I'll forever still love classic tdm style online matches, been playing that way since the early 90s and as long as the game has fun weapons and a good overall premise I'll enjoy it. Sadly br will never be my go to, but I'm glad that at least there's one br game thats not bad that I can somewhat enjoy. Anything but fuckin fortnite
  10. Ah ok, lol I barely remember anymore with what does and doesn't get some remaster and what not
  11. I do, my point is still regardless I find the overall setup boring compared to a typical fps match. Like i said I think it's a decent game, best br I've personally played but I won't be sad the day something new replaces BR.
