Just to agree with what legend said... I have both a bachelor's and master's in Computer Science and certainly don't know everything about IT, which of course is its own field... But I'd wager your average CS or IT person would be better at most of the other field's tasks than, say, your average English major just by virtue of the significant overlap of the fields of CS and IT. In fact immediately after finishing my master's I worked in IT for two years.
Similarly, now that I work for a major semiconductor company I had a much more gradual learning curve than, say, your average English major would have, but I'm still basically the only CS person on my immediate team; everyone else studied electrical engineering, circuit design, etc. I'm learning something every day!

This was around the time I was in college near Seattle and I actually made a sign that said "PCCB ESMIs the Mariners" and took it to the game. Of course I didn't make it on the TV.

It legitimately impresses me with how many movies you watch pretty much every weekend. I can barely cook my meals.

I think I've only ever eaten at Chipotle once and yeah it was OK. I picked up from there a lot though when I was driving for Uber Eats. Pretty popular.

Couldn't tell a damn bit of difference here in Portland, unfortunately, but I've been enjoying the videos and such online.

Winning ticket was sold in Oregon.
Yeah somewhere here in Portland. How fun it is to think of what one would do with that much money...

Yeah I also got onboard with Game Informer for $20. I used to have a Maximum PC and PC Gamer sub going for a long time but finally cancelled a while ago because I realized I never read it. So yeah... looking forward to not reading Game Informer either.

Any suggestions for a microphone with noise-canceling for laptop? I don't have much to spend on it, so hopefully something cheap will last awhile if possible. I like the headphones I have, but the mic is on the cord, and it hasn't been working.
I don't have a lot of experience with products in this category so unfortunately I can't offer any suggestions myself, but it might help to state your budget so that others might be about to better help you.

WWW.REUTERS.COMTesla scrapping plans for cheap EV model.
Elon is denying it, but they have multiple emails from people inside Tesla saying to stop production, parts, etc.
Kinda makes sense when you also consider that they have a bunch of inventory sitting around already, I suppose. Maybe they're taking a "let's see how the price drops affect inventory" approach?

Twitter is full of chortling moronic dipshit losers acting like this is some big coverup, posting gifs of Biden steering a boat, etc…
How much of a worthless mush brained turd goblin do you have to be to blame everything that happens on the president? Honestly, the worst thing about Trumps era of politics is that it has illuminated just how staggeringly stupid so many of my fellow Americans are and it’s really fucking depressing to share a planet with these worthless fuck faced fuckers. Like, what in the actual fuck is wrong with these people?
People are really THAT dumb? They’re really this fucking dumb? How is that even possible? How DOES THE WORLD EVEN FUNCTION WHEN SO MANY PEOPLE ARE THAT STUPID?
Sometimes I wonder if upsetting people is just the easiest way chuds can find to feel relevant in a world that keeps moving on.
As the great George Carlin said: Imagine how stupid the average person is and then realize that half of all people are dumber than that.
At the risk of sounding condescending or patronizing to the chuds (and probably rambling a bit): In my calmer, more rational moments I have to remind myself that most people are just doing the best they can and that if I wasn't lucky to have had the luck, background, experiences, education, etc. that I did, maybe I would be a chud too. But yeah, it gets really goddamn frustrating sometimes.

This was my first thought. My second thought: “Do I really need more mail that I’ll just throw away without reading?”
Yeah probably I won't devote a ton of attention to it (I barely read my other current subscriptions ) but figured it might be good for an hour or two altogether. For the cost of a couple coffees out, that's not bad.

Damn man, what a day. I'm really sorry for your losses.

Same, I don't want to mess around with being sick. If it's slightly in question, I'd rather spend the few bucks for new milk rather than gamble on diarrhea.

I can get behind prison for Trump, but this isn’t a grift that’s illegal or uncommon. It’s what athletes have been doing for decades. Put your face on everything.
unless you’re not talking about him selling bibles.
Yeah my post wasn't about Bibles, it was in reference to his bond being lowered.

It's not new information, but it sure is disheartening to have yet another example of the two-tiered justice system: one for you and me, and one for the ultra rich. If you or I attempted these shenanigans, our assets would be seized so fast, we'd be slapped with a contempt of court charge, etc. But this garbage person gets special treatment..

That is indeed a shitty day. I hope things have gotten better for you!

Feel better, dude! Hopefully you're already well on the way towards recovery.

Real talk I get $750 a month for the rest of my life. Plus the $54K I have in my bank right now.
Is that $54k your only savings and the $750/month your only income for the foreseeable future?

Mostly agreed, though I would be willing to pay a very small monthly amount for a convenience service that requires server upkeep, like an app that gives access to remote start from anywhere (beyond the range of the key fob), for example. But yeah taking basic functionality for which the hardware is already there and putting it behind a paywall is complete bullshit and they can fuck all the way off (looking at you, BMW, and your attempted heated seat subscription).
