  1. I don't care what they call their convoy, this is what Rolling Thunder will always mean to me: Amazing Game
  2. Before this gets implemented, someone should create a thread of all of the incredible takes that people are posting on Twitter about Elon Musk buying Twitter.
  3. I'll be honest, I think that the combination of isolationism from Covid and amplification of fringe messages on Twitter cause many of these conspiracy theories to look a lot more real than they are. Are there people who are willing to overturn Democracy and break the rules (rather than bend them), absolutely. Do I think they can "steal" an election that is not close. No.
  4. @Jason WRT new thread title -- didn't Musk call someone a Pedo Guy? Rather than Musk being the pedo guy?
  5. It can be a problem on iPhone as well. I never had a problem until I upgraded my 6S to a 13. Now, it is on and off.
  6. He doesn't line up with either the Republicans or Democrats -- and has mostly been apolitical. He claims to be an Independent, and has donated pretty equally to both parties. Idealogically, he is all over the map. In the past he has been (somewhat) critical of Trump, strongly supportive of green house gas reduction initiatives, critical of pronouns in non-LGBT+ Twitter bios, supported Andrew Yang, is anti-union, is anti-business subsidies (sometimes), is anti-lockdown, pro-vaccine, anti-vaccine mandate. He is inconsistent and mercurial.
  7. Someone will have to do a training piece on how to direct link videos/pictures that have been uploaded to Twitter.
  8. He's probably closer to being a moderate. What that means in the US: 1) If you are far right wing, he is a Liberal 2) If you are far left wing, he is a Conservative
  9. Makes sense. I think an exception should be made for any thread dedicated to NFL football. Making fun of people in football is half of the fun. I think that Tweets are very useful in communicating small updates that aren't conducive to a larger story. For instance, Tweets from journalists with photos/small updates on what was happening on the ground were useful in understanding what was actually happening on the ground for numerous ongoing events this year (Ukraine, Canadian Truck Convoy, etc.) I don't understand how you would enforce this without very active moderation. Makes sense. ========================================= I understand why you might want to do it. I guess I will separate the man from the social media platform in my mind, so my preference would be to not limit what sources can be posted. But in the end, you own the board, you can do whatever you want with it.
  10. I thought @Brickwas intending on getting them for going to work, which would be extended wear. I’m not sure there are any good studies on how to handle masks that have only been worn for 5 minutes. Clearly, if you’re taking on and off a contaminated mask over and over, you risk contaminating your hands if you’re not careful.
  11. When you do get them, remember they can be used for 40-50 hours each. After each use hang them to dry. We have 4-5 each hanging in our laundry room that we rotate through. Lowers your cost dramatically.
  12. My boss is the CFO. If I (or my team) miss a deliverable, I either make him look bad in front of the board or the CEO. I’m a big boy. It was pretty easy to figure out that I would never want that to happen. He doesn’t need to ask me.
  13. The companies I’ve worked at have always been use it or lose it. I disagree - I’ve always found that my bosses care if I make there life easy. If I take vacation, and something gets missed, it’s a problem. That means I have to schedule my vacation around my job.
  14. My BIL works at IBM - and it was pretty clear to him that the unlimited vacation was put in place was in an effort to reduce the amount of vacation used. I work at a startup, and my boss expects me to deliver. I schedule my (limited) vacation around deliverables.
  15. I’ve lived in Michigan and Ontario - and worked in Quebec. I never noticed a difference about how people handle being sick and going/not going to work.
  16. Almost half of Canadians may have caught COVID | CBC News WWW.CBC.CA Canada’s COVID-19 immunity landscape has completely transformed since the emergence of Omicron — with new estimates suggesting that almost half of the...
  17. Is there any evidence that breastfeeding from a vaccinated mother gives the baby any increase in immunity?
