  1. For sure. It’s why it’s the first time in the history of video games; that digital only consoles are launching with a new gen of gaming.
  2. I’m digital only on PC. Obviously. But they have amazing deals everywhere. Money obviously doesn’t matter to some. But matters in my world for sure. Even this gen I’m 70% digital on PS4, but there’s still been a times I’ll pickup an older title for $10 on Amazon or something.
  3. I feel ya. Just wish we had a humble bundle, GOG etc type deal. Maybe one day in console world we will. Maybe it’ll be 10 years from now. But eventually when it’s 100% digital, we will have those many store fronts First generation in gaming that an all digital console it available day one. So it’s headed there
  4. I’d agree.... IF there were options digitally. It’s 99% whatever Sony allows. Very few other sites even have digital codes, unlike PC. Plus, it’s not a hassle to drive to the store since most people have to drive to get groceries or drive to work anyhow. Also, simply ordering games online from deep Amazon sales and Best Buy, EBay etc.
  5. So, initially I almost pulled the plug on the $399 console. I didn’t as I thought how locking myself down to whatever Sony wants to charge is bad news. Heck, even today I’ll see $60 charge on 3-4 year old games on PSN. The ability to go back and pick up games at bargain bin prices can’t be overstated. Buying a $60 title at launch, beating it, selling it on Facebook for $45 if you felt inclined. Getting the benefits of price drops and sales at online retailers, physical retailers, and also PSN. The extra $100 premium will pay itself back tenfold. what say you?
  6. It’ll never be “good” if left up to me. I’m smart enough to put together a pc, but too dumb to figure out what’s worth buying.
  7. It’s Corsair something. I can not confirm. Maybe 3? But maybe 4?
  8. I assume I’ll be forced unless that new mobo takes old chips
  9. I’ve got an Asus Maximus Hero VII she was expensive. $300. She’s still good, but it’s older and doesn’t accept anything but LGA1150 chips. I have an i5 4670k and it’s no point in spending $200 to get a 4770k or 4790k. May as well, get a new mobo. Any suggestions? Not trying to break the bank. But it’s getting time for a new mobo
  10. I’ll be getting it on the PS5 anyhow (I’ll be playing the “last gen” version until they update it apparently) I do think my i5 4670k/GTX 1070 could get medium/high 1080p/60 though
  11. Agreed. We’re at a point where it needs to be said what performance you’ll get with “minimum” and “recommended”. wasnt always the case. Didn’t always matter like it does now. But it matters. They do need to specify what settings/frame rate/resolution you can expect
  12. Isn’t that minimum? To me minimum means low settings at 30fps. Recommended means 1080p/30 or 1080p/60 at medium settings in my book. Least that’s how it’s always been.
  13. All were bad for sure. PS2 was the worst. That blue box of joy (the outer packaging) was sold out everywhere right at Christmas. I found one for my parents to buy me after weeks of calling stores/malls/checking stock etc
  14. Right? 😂 my ass bought a GTX 780 at launch back in what? 2013? Somehow you can play cyberpunk with it?! Sure it’ll be low/med settings at 720p or whatever. Still. I bought bought a GTX1070 from a board member here couple years ago. Truly haven’t felt the need to upgrade, mainly because I only use a 1440p 60hz monitor and most games run at near high as is.
  15. My brother in law has an X1 strictly plays sports. Only sports. That’s all. Period. He’s also buying a series X day one. why? Who knows. I’d not spend $500 to play NBA2k and Madden lol
  16. No one said Madden is a bad dude lmao. He’s a HOF coach and seems like a cool dude
