Its pretty clear Sony extended the exclusivity.  Why would Square make Crisis Core for Xbox but not FF7 Remake.  They clearly can't yet because of contractual obligations to Sony.  Now whether or not Sony paid to keep the entire Trilogy exclusive or not, who knows.  I doubt it.

I'd expect FF7 Remake to come to Xbox either next winter when Rebirth launched, or when the full Trilogy is done they finally drop them all for Xbox.

They have Valheim on the card of upcoming games but didnt announce a console version til today.  They said some new announcements today.

Really should have done better with the naming.  Silver, Gold, Platinum or something.  I don't know which tier anyone is ever talking about.

Well Ubisoft+ is going to be a seperate thing on Playstation+ too.  I'd be pretty shocked if Ubisoft+ Classics aren't on Game Pass considering many of those games, which is a rather small catalog to start, have already been on Game Pass.

Ubisoft+ and Xbox already announced a similar partnership earlier in the year, just haven't officially announced details.  So chances are Xbox will have this same Ubisoft+ Classics as part of Game Pass.

Are you a PS Now subscriber?  This really has next to nothing to do with existing PS+, as you'll still be getting basically the same thing you are getting today unless you pay to upgrade.

It's also passed Vanguard in sales for NPD.

15 of their first party's have released new games or significant updates/expansions to their games since 2020.  Just because they weren't exclusives doesn't mean they didn't put anything out.

Delays obvioulsy suck, but I think everyone can agree that it's much better to delay games and get them right than push them out just to fill in gaps in a schedule.

Combat in the Arkham games was very well done from what I remember, definitely not a weakness.  

Especially when you got later into the game with different combos of enemies, they almost became puzzles.

If its set as your Home Xbox, unplug it from the Intenet.  It thinks its online and trying to authenticate, but if you unplug it and its offline, it may play Single player offline games.

There wasn't really a way to play it on any iOS device though.  My nephews used to largely play on their iPad Mini's before it got blocked.

I honestly can't remember last time Xbox has been down.  Stepee really is bad luck.

I honestly think it might be due to the Fortnite stuff.  That must have added a lot of traffic to Xbox Live and the cloud services.  Azure should be able to scale easily to handle it but may have caused other issues.

Stepee gets an Xbox and breaks everything. Good job!

For games I ended up going for Valhalla since I realized I started that on Ubi Plus but don’t actually own that one so now I will. Also it was $36 with Legion so I figured I could fool around with that too.  

 

Paid for it and got the notification that my paypal was charged and that was when it became apparent Xbox Live was down and I couldn’t access them or download.

Damn Fortnite on the cloud brought XBL down to its knees?

If you want to know what needs to be installed where, if you go to File Info while under Manage Game, about 75% of the way down, it has a line saying Gen9, or Gen9Aware.  If it's Gen9 needs to be on Internal.  If it's Gen9Aware can play off external.

Not idea but one quick way to find out.

I think both are 4kish 60fps on XSX now. Does Valhalla look a lot better than Odyssey or is it about the same now that it’s 60fps?

Or there was a Watch Dogs Legion bundle with Valhalla for only $30 that seems like a good deal and I could play that pc/xbox too.

There are a lot of rumors around Ubisoft+ coming to Game Pass soon.  So depending on how quickly you want to play them, may be worth holding on.  I'd assume on sale they must be pretty cheap by now.

Valhalla looked quite a bit better than Odyssey or Origins, but all still looked pretty good.

So this is actually pretty huge for Microsoft I think.  Big boost to MAU's cause now anyone on Apple Devices wanting to play Fortnite, need a Microsoft account. 

And I'd assume they get the % cut of any MTX that's generated through the game on Apple devices, right?

Quick Resume is great, but still has issues with online games.  I typically focus on 1 Single Player, and rotate around multiplayer games.  Too many multiplayer games struggle with how to deal with it.  

So who's tried Season 2?

The Last Spartan Standing mode I'm enjoying.  12 players, 5 respawns each.   Each kill gives you XP and you can level up as you play to better guns.  Zone eventually starts closing in BR style.  

Maybe if we can get a group maybe some Customs some nights in the near future.

Ya, it was for Back Compat games that got next gen patches.  If you start the game off your external and it requires an update and moves to the internal, I think that means it needs to be there. If not, it should just update on the External.

I think they ended up making it so not all Series X/S games need to run off the internal if they weren't designed to run off the SSD to help with storage space.  Multiplayer games where you are typically waiting for other people to load as well I think may not be required.
