  1. Even if they don't, why screw the 99% with an overly complicated policy (debt free college) just to keep the 1% from using that system too.
  2. The interesting thing will be how the various candidates define Medicare for All and if that definition passes the test. I don't think Public Option will, but Single Payer might go too far.
  3. And Republicans would undermine it to death the second they got into the House or Senate Majority. Cleanest and easiest to sell option is take Medicare as is and reduce the age requirement to 0. Private Sector can still be in the Supplemental and Advantage business.
  4. 100% reimbursement and no discrimination based on Party ID (which shouldn't even be included on voter registration).
  5. Given that every candidate is probably going to push M4A in some form, I would like to see at least ONE have candidate have somewhat of a coherent disability policy. There's a lot of cripples who are nervous about M4A since the Sanders bill completely ignores stuff currently covered by Medicaid waivers like personal care (especially in "good" States like NY and CA).
  6. CNN just did 2 segments, one on Harris having an issue getting black voters, and another that Schultz's views are more "mainstream".
  7. Republicans idea right until Obama embraced it. Had Obama gone hard for Medicare for All, then the Republicans might have offered the ACA as their alternative, but embracing ACA in hope that the Republicans will go along doesn't work because it robs them of a political win. If the scary Black Socialist President offers a moderate solution, then it's no longer a moderate solution politically.
  8. Let the Republicans be the ones to offer compromise, Democrats need to stop negotiating with themselves. Part of the issue is many people don't understand that under Medicare you still need Supplemental or Advantage to cover the other 20% Medicare doesn't cover. And you pay a premium for both coverages. Put everyone under Medicare then give private options for the other 20% (Supplemental, Advantage, Medicaid). Taxes cover the 80%, individuals cover the 20%.
  9. I worry about this shit with my nephew, he's 8 and just had his first play date a week ago. Crazy smart kid but has a wicked temper. Every year he's the new kid in school because he has zero social interaction with kids over the summer.
  10. I don't doubt it, but I don't care, the industry (if it's going to even be around in 4 years) needs the shake up.
  11. So he's believes in science and is pro something that's basically completely settled. He's also for cutting Social Security and Medicare, are there really democrats for that? I agree he's a threat if he goes populist like Trump, but with that platform? If you're right, AOC will be the nominee in 2024.
  12. I don't want Schultz running because I don't want the wrench thrown into the campaign, but is he honestly a threat to pull democratic voters? All I see him pulling are Never Trump Republicans who complain about being homeless politically.
