  1. I agree with him a lot, as well. I still find him pedantic when I agree. That's the point. All the rest is just gibberish or projection; I'm not actually serious when I say I win the debate. Nobody thinks they won a debate by saying 'yes.' I don't need to argue with you any further, friend.
  2. Because he's saying the same things you are, so you find him tolerable. Ya know, you said "reading really helps" to me, but maybe I should be saying it.
  3. No, but the fact that you both hold them is why you view him as more tolerable ITT, yet view correctly view him as pedantic in others. Agreeing/disagreeing with someone has nothing to do with whether someone likes to split hairs, but it certainly has an effect on your perception of them.
  4. You should probably reign in your temper and talk like a normal person; it may help smooth things. Anyway, you're not gonna suck me into another 6-page debate where you start having meltdowns because people talk about race or religion. I did a pretty good job ignoring you last page, but I had to bring up your other post for giggles. You may return to the pedantry!
  5. You were. I'm just calling it out; I don't really feel like debating it with you. That's why I won the debate a page ago. Agreed. This isn't even getting into the time you broke down when called an extremist. Just chill, man. Projection doesn't suit you.
  6. A little of both columns, the latter mainly due to the inconsistency, the former because I like to mess around.
  7. You're sympathetic toward his PoV ITT, so the pedantry's fine. But in other threads when he's not making your point, he's pedantic. It's cool!
  8. Yeeaaahhh, this doesn't really contradict anything. Seems like you're more prone to call someone pedantic if they disagree with you.
  9. Go to my jury duty one in The Asylum with more pedantry, then try to find what the common denominator is.
  10. I see one conservative and one liberal and one person who can't be described arguing against your position, with many liberals arguing for it. What did I miss?

  12. This reminds me of "What The Matter With Kansas?" I really do feel a progressive health care message actually would resonate in supposed red states, but the message needs to be continuous and focused. Own health care and own improvements to it, which affect a significant amount of people in these states.
  13. I'm curious long-term if this will have a tangible effect considering despite seeing big drops during the government shutdown and during the gun control debate after Parkland, and seeing increases after the first North Korea summit, it always reverts to a low 40s average. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a bump short-term once we see more tracking polls, but it's more significant if he begins to hover higher than that or if it eventually comes down to the low 40s.
