Powell seems like a true believer. Like 100% buys the bullshit. Curious if she’ll take it or try to fight it out.
You're right that she's a true believer but if reports are true every other defendant is trying to throw her under the bus, so there's a decent chance she'll do it right back!

I will only address this point since I did engage though I wish I didn’t. Young kids, like my daughter who is 4, want to go with you when you go out. Whether that is shopping, doing yard work, going to a brewery, taking out the garbage or even going to work. You make a decision whether it is appropriate and you lay ground rules that if violated means you go home.
At the brewery, she draws, watches the phone, pet doggies, dances to the music, and steal sips of beer. She doesn’t disturb anyone. Most people engage her. She has a lot fun.
You guys act like kids are mutants that are constantly screaming. She has been on plane for 8 hours multiple times flying to Europe in economy and business class with no issues. As long as we keep her fed and rested, she is a happy go lucky kid.
I have zero issues with well-behaved children, and even when children misbehave, unless the parent seems negligent I am generally understanding and sympathetic.
You mistake the issue if you think the argument is 'kids are mutants' - they are obviously just kids, even kab said as much. Weird breeder shit aside, the point is that there are comparatively fewer adult-only spaces than there are family-friendly spaces, and in light of that the presumption that childless adults should compromise by default is rather ridiculous. I have no issue with children existing in public spaces - I take issue with parents who think they can take their child anywhere by right.

Some of the "hot takes" in this thread are so very edgy, weird, and creepy that I'm outright embarrassed by them. And I'm really not that fond of children to begin with.
When @Bacon is the voice of reason, maybe some self-introspection is in order.
Don't diminish our little hentai goblin like that!

Lolololol. That’s some goofy ass shit you think bud.
They are breweries - they are, first and foremost, drinking establishments. Maybe some like the one you go to intentionally cater to families (as is their right), but the ones that do not are obviously not designed with children in mind - they are spaces for adults. If you want to eat or drink with a family or mix of adults and children, there are ample places that cater to that and comparatively fewer spots that are adult only, so I see absolutely no reason why its unreasonable to expect spaces that are designed for adults remain only for adults.

I take my 4 year old to the brewery all the time. The brewery I visit has setup an area for the kids to play.
A brewery with an area for kids to play is obviously trying to appeal to families, but all else being equal I think breweries should be seen as 'adult only' spaces by default. If parents or groups of parents want to get a drink, go to Chilli's or something.

Id actually pay money to see kids in that situation. The mental gymnastics alone would be worth it.
Just come to Pittsburgh then because kids at breweries is incredibly common here, even at ones that don't have food programs (i.e. they're bars).

@b_m_b_m_b_m I'll admit you are right and win this argument but ONLY if you agree that breweries are off limits.

I will admit that the endless parade of mass murder we accept in our society has led me to be very conscious of entry/exit points any time I'm in public, with a preference to always face them. No LARPing, just the sad realization that I live in a country where someone might walk in with an AR-15.

I gotta say I’ve had my sd card in for months now since the update where they adjusted the fan curve and *knock on wood* still going strong. So I’ve been happy with that. BUT.
Comes out Friday. 2tb with faster read speeds and MUCH faster write speeds for $220? Ordered mine! Looking forward to keeping all the modern fighters local, they are getting so big. Now I need to get a caddy so I can do a clone and not reinstall everything. Anyone recommend a good one?
I want to say too that I’ve been really happy with the display as far as color coverage and response time. I’m quite impressed with how nice it looks for a non oled/micro led display without hdr. It’s such a HUGE improvement over Steam deck, like not even close.
Also @Chris- I know you have a lot of (not so fun) stuff going on but just curious if you had a chance to set it up yet? Curious on your impressions as I believe this is your first handheld pc!
I have set it up! Impressions so far are good…Getting it set up was a monumental pain in the ass (the bloatware UI isn’t the best), but it runs games beautifully and feels really good to hold. Game Pass rules and I’m super excited to get into Pentiment and Hi-Fi Rush; The Lamplighter League is also on my list once it’s out next month. Thanks again baby love xoxo- 1

When the club needed to renovate the grounds due to age related problems, most of the work was done by fans of the club who volunteered their time and skills due to the club not having enough funds to hire professionals.
That’s mentioned in the video; they also held a blood drive, since in Germany it’s legal to be paid for giving blood. Literally bled for the team. Fuck the Stasi pigs. -
It also should not be understated that they did this as a fan-owned club: no billionaires, no Saudi blood money, no venture captial, none of that. Just a pure love of the game.

Union Berlin is currently playing its first Champions League group stage match against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu. Big deal, right? Of course a team from Berlin would be in the Champions League.
Except they never even played top-flight football until 4 years ago!
Coolest fucking team ever. And they have an American on their roster (Aaronson)! Definitely worthy of your footy-related consideration.

That's funny. I have an ex girlfriend who had that quote on a mug and she was devastated to learn it was from Tolkien.
That was her first red flag.
I honestly can't wait for the day when I finally get to correct him. I don't think he feels any particular way about LOTR/Tolkien, but he was so confident (he even claimed it came from another person) that I just can't let it go uncorrected.

David Foster Wallace’s ‘This is Water’ speech had a disproportionate impact on my outlook of life. That’s about as close as I’ve gotten to adopting something like that.
