I just tried out the old trapper beef sticks. They aren't anything special. They are fine, but like, if there was ever a default flavor of beef stick, it would be the old trapper brand. I think Slim Jims have a better flavor. Disappointing showing from the best brand of jerky you can find in most stores.

As you level, melee characters will get extra attacks, rogues can dash with a bonus action, storm sorc let's you fly after you cast a spell, and jumping can let you cover a greater distance than just walking and may be the difference between you attacking and you doing nothing. Also, movement is less of an issue for ranged classes, obviously. While the limited move distance will always be present, there are ways to build a party that can mitigate that annoyance.
