  1. Beat it. Final boss was easier than expected. Guess I didn't need to make 20+ shotgun rounds and buy a second magnum so I could have 15 magnum shots across two guns. Ain't got much to say. It's resident evil 4. Better in many ways, worse in fewer. Might as well give it a 10/10. It's pretty good. If I was an official reviewer I'd give it a 9/10 because the fact that the game is only the campaign is a letdown.
  2. The remake of RE4 wouldn't be as well received as it is if it wasn't for the RE4 that came before it, I believe. The remake doesn't feel nearly as memorable as the OG. The remake is great, and I am sure there are some wrong and dumb people who weren't fans of the campy cheesy action movie of a game that is RE4, but that is what made the game stick out. Look even to RE5. What do people remember fondly about that game? Chris punching a boulder. It is so bad it's good. The remake has none of that. Sure, lots of other improvements, as I said the game is great. Easily a 9 or 10 with a GOTY chance. But I wish it pulled also included all the cheese as well. I beat chapter 11 and thought, "oh, well, that's lame," and I have felt like that about some other changes too but the "change" that chapter 11 brings, while making total sense, is just lame to me. Is it far more serious and sincere? Yep, totally. Do I prefer it over the over-the-top ridiculousness? Nope, not at all.
  3. I just type what I want into the gif thingy and pick the reaction I like the best.
  4. They made optional accessories that slow down time and prompt you so you can perfectly dodge all the time, and another so the complex combos are all done by mashing square, instead of having a basic easy mode.
  5. I still often pause/open the case to pick a new weapon and just go "uhhhhhh...." while I think about if I wanna whip out my shotgun or sniper. But I also use the hotkeys most of the time.
  6. The movement looked a bit floaty for a second. Clive kinda glides during the windup from standing to full speed. Hopefully, it's not like that in the final product.
  7. I'm bothered by all the ps5 shilling, but I really like how Koji Fox showed that it was a real game and not pre-recorded footage by rapidly moving the analog stick like a real gamer.
  8. Actually, based on the map in the hour-long video is there no snowy area. It will actually be shocking if there isn't a snowy area in a modern fantasy RPG.
  9. As a red9 chad, watching people play with the blacktail makes me laugh. Like, lol, why you shootin' all those bullets? You could shoot way less if you leveled the red9. Got that shit maxed out too.
  10. So, some fucking bullshit is that the gatcha isn't actually random. It is predetermined when you make a new game. Each pull is determined by the type of coins you put in. Let's say you put in 3 gold coins and you get Shotgun Leon. So you reload and put in three gold coins again. Well, you'll get Shotgun Leon again. Now, let's say you put in 1 silver coin and 2 gold coins and you get Ashley. Well, if you put in 3 gold coins after that you will still get shotgun Leon. Each combination path is predetermined. You can never skip shotgun Leon or Ashley or whatever. I really hate that because there is a movement speed increase charm and you can't just save scum to get it.
  11. I'm on chapter 9 and this cutscene happened but the game doesn't stop. I realized I could do a little trick and reloaded and performed it. I think you could do something like this in the OG RE4 but I can't remember. It's a pretty neat "skip" or at least a way to funnel enemies into a death trap and line up the collaterals.
  12. The dog is probably the worst thing about XVI I have seen so far. There is nothing worse than an animal companion. If the dog isn't critical to combat I won't use it. If I can dismiss it then I'll do that asap.
  13. Yeah, that ain't maintenance mode and that shit site is just baiting
  14. If you are playing on hardcore, and wish to do the "Never heard it coming" challenge/achievement, you'll need at least two disposable knives and an upgraded combat knife if attempting to do backstabs only. If you are like me and only had one disposable knife and the combat knife, you will need to stab the weak spot normally a bunch of times, as in do not sneak attack backstab as it uses up too much durability. My disposable knife only had about 2/3 of the total durability left when I started, and right before it broke I did a sneak attack backstab for big damage. I then used the combat knife only doing sneak attack backstabs and the backstab that broke my combat knife killed the boss.
