skillzdadirecta
Tens of Millions from the looks of it. That Superman number one is worth a couple of Mil. No telling how much the baseball cards are worth. And to think they were ashamed of this guy and his "obessesion" led to the couple's divorce.

SoberChef
In a way, that man is able to reconnect with his father, see him through a new light, share this one of a kind collection while meeting so many others who are like minded all while turning a nifty profit to boot, this is a lovely story. LazyPiranha
I can see where this leads to a divorce. If my wife was sitting on a collection of stuff worth eight figures and just hanging onto them instead of selling them so we could do stuff with that money, I’d probably be upset about it too. Having a fun collection is all well and good, but to be sitting on a fortune and doing nothing with it until you die? Feels like a waste to me. Guest
Having been friends with several people with Asperger’s over the years, nothing about this story is surprising to me.

I don't think his wife knew how much the collection was worth. I think she and the rest of the family just thought he was an eccentric wasting money. My family knows I've been collecting comics since childhood. They are only just NOW starting to realzie that I am sitting on a small fortune with my collection. My collection is nowhere near this guy's, but I'm sitting on over 8,000 comics that I have with me and probably another 10,000 in storage.
