The server shows up but its constant connection error.. am I missing something here? Is a Gold account required for online even for system link? The def star
Having a gold account shouldn't be an issue with system link since that is all offline gaming. Here is a video showing Xbox system link working across all xboxes just fine. What game are you trying to play?
5timechamp
Tried to play Rainbow Six Vegas, then tried Dragon Rising... both connection errors.. I even moved the 360 upstairs closer to the modem.. no luck
cusideabelincoln
Did you set up using one of the following methods? Xbox Support SUPPORT.XBOX.COM Sounds like you're on wireless for the 360, so you can't connect your Xbone through the router. You have to connect your Xbone directly to the 360's personal shared WiFi network.
The def star
Yeah even in the video it says system link is funky on wifi. Are you connecting all xboxes via ethernet to the router or a switch?
5timechamp
both systems are connected wirelessly to the router/modem in the kitchen... this old housing doesnt let me connect directly I went to the 360 and created a wireless ad-hock network as it says but no luck... System link is gonna work best with a wired connection.

You’ll want an ethernet cable going from the Xbone to the 360, IIRC (not to the router)
