  1. Well one thing this primary season has proven is that the "Bernie-bro" is pretty much a myth or they really were Russian trolls and bots all along.
  2. It's typically food that you grew up on that makes you feel better emotionally in times of stress because it takes you back to a simpler more comforting times. Often times its not good for you at ALL but it makes you FEEL better. Different cultures have different definitions of Comfort food.
  3. Let me put it like this... Biden is comfort food for a certain segment of the American population. Not too "urban", not too "shrill", not too... "non traditional" and not a "godless socialist". He's lukewarm porridge which means he's just right
  4. What I'm saying is that the most disenfranchised voters figured out a way to stand on line for an ungodly amount of time in order to still vote. Once the pre-clearance provision of the voting rights act went away, Republican state legislatures started doing their level best to make it hard as hell for black and brown people to vote and this was very apparent in Texas. Those folks stayed on line for hours in defiance of that shit. The solution is to win elections so you can reverse this shit.
  5. Working people in black neighborhoods in Texas that had a ton of polling places closed and had to stand online figured it out.
  6. When I was on line to vote last week in Cali, what struck me was how many older people waited in that long assed line. Also all of the volunteers were seniors. I found that interesting. And in Texas, those folks stayed on line to vot for 5 hours... that's how much it means to some folks.
  7. I texted twice buddies and said that he would be out by the end of the week. He's 80 years old and had a heart attack. No need to drag this out... his supporters let him down big time.
  8. So the progressives should use their influence to push him to the left... the have leverage if they demonstrate that they actually care about the issues by you know, voting.
  9. Sanders and Biden cancel rallies tonight. https://www.cnbc.com/2020/03/10/bernie-sanders-campaign-cancels-ohio-rally-tuesday-due-to-coronavirus-concerns.html
  10. Thanks for the clarification. I think Bernie is losing for different reasons than you do and I think those reasons would be exacerbated in the general election where he would be under full on attack by the Trump campaign and the RNC and its allies. Whatever Bernie supporters think they're getting now is NOTHING compared to what he would get hit with in the general and because of that, I personally think he would be a riskier and weaker candidate in the general.
  11. So let me make sure I understand exactly you're coming from. If Bernie loses the Primary to Joe Biden even WITH all everything you listed here, you would still make the argument that he's the stronger general election candidate? And your calculus wouldn't change if Bernie loses to Biden in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin? ( I think he wins Wisconsin but loses the other three personally) So anyone who isn't voting for Bernie for whatever reason is just...wrong?
