November 24 is a stupid release date. I’ll watch that next year as part of my October marathon
-
October 6th - A Classic Horror Story - 6/10Ummm I think I liked this. It’s sorta meta, so I guess that kinda excuses some of the really dumb shit the characters do? But you don’t really know it’s that way till later in the movie so the dumb decisions just annoyed me in the moment. The twist at the end is fun and a little unexpected and there’s a stinger that’s really good. Eh, not a masterpiece but a fun horror movie to watch this time of year.
October 5th - Train to Busan - 10/10
October 4th - Blood Red Sky - 9/10
October 3rd - Vivarium 8/10
October 2nd - Prisoners of the Ghostland 3/10
October 1st - Werewolved Within 8/10 -

and there is 97.8% chance it'll suck
All the games will have aggressive new lighting and Millionare style sound effects added to them. Dax Shepard will be the host -
I still can’t get over that the “Shame Nun” and Rebecca from Ted Lasso are the same fucking person
-
October 5th - Train to Busan - 10/10
Obviously been putting this off for awhile for who know what reason. My god did it live up to the hype. Flawless in every single way. No more zombie movies, perfection was achievemed.
October 4th - Blood Red Sky - 9/10
October 3rd - Vivarium 8/10
October 2nd - Prisoners of the Ghostland 3/10
October 1st - Werewolved Within 8/10 -
October 4th - Blood Red Sky - 9/10
Been saving this one to watch for awhile. Really really well done take on the Vampire genre. Fantastic performances(the kid especially) and amazingly the 3rd act didn’t fall apart at all. Which I feel like movies set on airplanes always seem to do.
October 3rd - Vivarium 8/10
October 2nd - Prisoners of the Ghostland 3/10
October 1st - Werewolved Within 8/10 -
LOL I started reading this thread from the beginning, forgetting it was started 2 years ago and was soooo confused for a few posts 😂

Change that The Terror: S1 score to a 9/10. The last episode was fucking good.
What a huge surprise this was.
Agreed 1000% easily one of my favorite seasons of television ever. Helped by the fact it’s the rare show they absolutely sticks the hell out of the landing. Now I wanna rewatch it. -

That's what's so shocking to me. Apple could easily integrate some type of console like service into their existing ecosystem and dominate. A combination. Apple TV/ Console that allows you to stream games to your iphone/ipad? That shit would be an instant seller.
Except they have generally completely sucked at any sort of new innovation since Jobs passed away. I am 100% confident if they tried that it would fail miserably. -
So every October I try to watch 31 Horror/Halloween movies in 31 days. Figured this year it would be fun to actually post some thoughts about them as well
October 1 - Werewolves Within - 8/10
Started out light. Whodunnits are probably my favorite genre of movie so this was right up my alley. I had no idea the ATT girl was in it and I thought she was fantastic! She should really be in
more main line stuff.
October 2 - Prisoners of the Ghostland - 3/10
I enjoy me some weird ass Nicholas Cage movies. But this one…wasn’t it. Confusing, weird for the sake of weird, dumb. It would have been 1/10 but Bill Moseley was fantastic so bonus 2 points.
October 3 - Vivarium - 8/10
Now this was the good kind of weird. I love these kind of isolated horror movies where people wind up in a weird place and can’t get out. Kinda like Cube. They all have this really odd vibe to them that I dig. Great performances. Good, if not predictable, twist. Had never heard of it before scrolling through Primes horror section and was a really pleasant surprise!

We all know there will be a season 3. Lasso just signed a deal with the EPL to use their teams and real game footage. I do not understand why then some story lines are being rushed. Last episode felt like a whirlwind compared to the pace of season 2
And fuck Nate.
I dunno it doesn’t feel rushed to me. I kinda line them wrapping up all the season storylines in one season.
Gotta assume the foil for Season 3 will be Nate getting offered a head coaching position for Rebecca’s ex husbands inevitable new team
-
I would be fine if this show takes a really dark twist and Nate is tortured and murdered in the final episode.
Also is it just me or has Nate gotten exceedingly Grey since the first season?

It sounds cute. Is it kid friendly? I've been looking for a fun game show to watch with the little ones. I tried Holey Moley, but they're too young for Putt Putt yet, so they weren't too interested. I may want to try this or the Lava Floor show.
Try Frogger on Peacock, it’s basically Lava Floor with a different skin -
To be fair, IMHO, no other horror movie in existence comes close to touching the first Halloween. It’s flawless.
-
Same. I always fully close the game and shut the system off when I’m done. Games load so fast now I don’t mind rebooting every time

I feel like Jamie’s redemption arc and the deeper dive into Ted’s psychology has been enough to justify this season‘s existence. The first season was breezier but I find this one way more interesting. I think I’ve grow to love the characters even more.
Agreed -

I don't know anything about him outside of this, but definitely both. For the game, what a lousy boring fight. For him for explaining this unbelievably obvious "strategy" as if it were clever, and and describing the enemy as ineffective against his "high-level precision, ability and reflexes," after which he then proceeds to get hit while trying to kill the enemy and then tries to cover by saying he meant to get hit to show you it's "okay" (then wtf was the "strategy" for anyway?)
wait did you think he was being serious?- 1

Thanks for posting in the Dune thread totally regular guy and not nerd.
Lol again, all I did was proclaim the argument to be ultra nerdy and off topic for the thread. If that’s something you feel is worth taking offense over, that seems like you issue. Have a blessed day 😁 -
Ahh the the nerds getting defensive. No one was complaining, simply inquiring. Carry on 👍🏻
-
I could listen to chapter 3 and the beginning of 4 over and over in repeat. They 1000% delivered on my hopes for them once the casting was announced.
-
Is this thread back to being about Dune yet? Or is the single nerdiest argument of all time still raging?

October 7th - Monster Squad - 10/10
This has been an embarrassing hole in my horror library. No idea why it’s taken me so long to watch it. It’s perfect in every single possible way haha
