  1. First high quality approval poll came in from CNN, 37% approve 57% disapprove. Previous poll from december before the shut down was 39/52, not good!
  2. Didn't work for the midterms, isn't working now, support for the wall is now basically at Trump's approval number.
  3. Nope, don't see any reason why the FBI might be worried hes working for the Russians, none at all.
  4. Gabbard seems to be drawing a lot of attention that will likely get her primaried and not even in the house, lol.
  5. Could you imagine the backlash if the special counsel finished and the findings were never released?
  6. lol, he would be handing dems a victory, but in this scenario the GOP has to turn on him.
  7. lol, this is one hell of a way to get fired. https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2019/01/11/seattle-tv-station-aired-doctored-footage-trumps-oval-office-speech-employee-has-been-fired/?fbclid=IwAR24RBb9wYm5nv0yI_c1IjJ-r9lkFsjKHxRgi1KrOh7rITJKDJUESxaKkP0&utm_term=.a6082dec2854 But viewers in the Seattle area got a little more than they expected. The city’s Fox affiliate, Q13, beamed out doctored footage of Trump’s Tuesday address, according to the Seattle Times. The station’s broadcast showed Trump with a larger-than-normal head. His skin had a Cheetos-orange tint. And during his speech, the president’s tongue hung out of his mouth between sentences. It is unclear whether the footage ran live as Trump was giving his speech, or was replayed in later broadcasts.
  8. I assumed that meant vote on funding his wall, cause surely it'll work this time, lol.
  9. Political realities are shifting for them, Collins and Gardner is obvious they're up for re-election is basically blue states, Murkowski though, Alaska has a lot of federal employees, and the office that handles commercial fishing licenses is currently shut down. Kavanaugh and the tax bill were seen as possible saviors for the GOP in the midterms, instead tanked them badly in the midwest and west coast, while nearly wiping them off the map in the NE.
  10. The problem is the childcare in many cases costs as much or almost as much as the second income, having 2 kids in childcare can easily cost you 500 a week or more, price is even higher for infants.
  11. I forget shes one of my senators, honestly have no idea why anyone would vote for her for president, shes completely forgettable.
  12. lol. Border patrol literally showed Trump tunnels that go under part of the current border wall... https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2019/01/11/border-official-trump-tunnels-under-wall-acosta-pkg-vpx.cnn
  13. Hes threatening to keep it shutdown during the court battle, hes going down with the ship folks.
  14. Collins, Murkowski, and Gardner are all ready to vote with dems, and Capito has signaled a willingness to open parts of the government.
  15. 12 house Republicans have now broken off and voted with dems to fund the government, including the last 2 chairmen of the nrcc.
  16. Hmm the current program is funded through a payroll tax, I WONDER HOW THEY'RE GOING TO PAY FOR 6 MONTHS!?
  17. Customs and Border Patrol agents sue Trump administration over missed pay, but i thought they all agreed its cool to work for no pay as long as they get a wall? https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2019/01/09/border-protection-officers-union-sues-trump-administration-over-shutdown-after-missed-paycheck/?utm_term=.6ee7485de174 The complaint asked that the named plaintiffs, Customs and Border Protection officers Eleazar Avalos and James Davis, and other similarly classified individuals be paid owed wages. The government stalemate began Dec. 22. Since then, many federal agencies have temporarily closed, and workers' compensation has been indefinitely delayed because of a lapse in appropriated funds. Even so, employees deemed “essential” or “excepted” have been expected to come to work. “Essential” government employees are those — like Avalos and Davis — who are “performing emergency work involving the safety of human life or the protection of property.” Days after the shutdown began, the largest federal employee union, the American Federation of Government Employees, filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration, alleging that hundreds of thousands of federal employees are illegally being forced to work without pay.
