  1. Someone needs to tell Trump that fighting the results in PA and GA will cost a lot of money - money that he could otherwise pocket for himself.
  2. By that I think they mean that the vote won't be completely done by then, because under state law a ballot that is postmarked by the 3rd has until the 10th to show up at election HQ in order to be processed and counted. 2 additional days is reasonable to process the remaining ballots.
  3. Only if the GOP becomes deflated because of the Presidential loss. The Democrats will have to work incredibly hard to get people to the polls - and target those who were registered to vote this election but failed to vote.
  4. I think there is good evidence that there were quite a few GOP voters who voted for Republican senators and reps, but didn't vote for Trump. Take a look at Maine: 375,000 votes for Collins, but only 330,000 votes for Trump. 45,000 vote difference is huge and represents sizable chunk of Republican voters in that state.
  5. I would like to read the actual language of that particular law just to feel a bit better. I'm searching for it online but I haven't found it yet.
  6. But just in case a state goes rogue and send electors to Congress - there is a process for dealing with that. tl;dr: If there are any objections to a particular electoral vote, the Senate and the House shall debate the objection, and then vote (separately) whether the objection stands. If so, the electoral vote will be thrown out. 3 U.S. Code ยง 15 - Counting electoral votes in Congress WWW.LAW.CORNELL.EDU
  7. Santorum just said he spoke with the PA Senate leader, who said there is not a way for the state legislature to award the EVs for the state to the loser of the popular vote.
  8. Having a state ignore the will of the people would be a bad idea and would cause irreparable harm. We aren't even talking about faithless electors - we are talking about faithless state legislatures. I hope no legislature is willing to take that step.
  9. Military Times had a poll a few months ago, and Trump didn't do well. It wasn't a scientific poll though, so it's not representative of the overall military population.
  10. Putin and Trump will retire to a quiet secluded dacha on the banks of the Volga river. Trump will sip his Diet Coke from a rocking chair on the porch while watching Putin (shirtless, of course) chop firewood in preparation for the harsh winter.
  11. PA is definitely going to go to Biden. Too many uncounted mail-in ballots left for Trump to maintain his lead. If Biden overtakes Trump in GA, it's going to be close.
  12. The weird thing is, after I posted the first time, I made sure I erased the contents of the reply box, and put in a single period (.) I hit refresh on the browser and it posted the joker again.
