Those of you doing World Tour Mode did you create you character to resemble yourself or go with something completely different and crazy?

    Because I'm a :sickos: like @Phaseknox I made a woman.

With this game there are a lot of people making disgusting freaks, but as Max pointed out (It's ok to bring up Max again since @Bacon mentions him) people aren't dedicated to their freaks. They have a secondary.

So I don't want to make myself because I don't want to look at myself, I don't want to look at a freak, so I just go in a different direction. (That was the character back there in the d1p hoodie)

Glad you guys are enjoying this. I wish I enjoyed fighting games because this seems great. How is the online lag in battle?

Seems pretty good almost globally unless you're playing someone in China then it gets a bit iffy.

I'll never call you a lesbian again. It was rude and uncalled for. I'd rather stay friendly and limit conversations about videogames and that is where we get along. I apologize for calling you that and I feel badly in doing so.

I'm really trying to understand everyone's opinion and look at it at different angles. I think you are a great person who works hard and lives a good life. I'm happy for you.

It's best we drop it. I'll try to treat you with more respect going forward. Enjoy zelda!

And yes, you come off miserable a lot of the times here. I don't know if it's your high stressed job or not but you can be extremely emotional and rude.

Let's drop it again and see how long we last.

    • Easy photo mode
    • Cel Shading mode!

I love launch window fighting games online. Tons of new players, you get matched with pretty evenly matched people. Ryu has always been my main, I just have his moveset down decently (though certainly not complex combos), but I'd like to try getting into Deejay or someone else as well.

I'm still trying to figure out who I want to play. I was Juri in the beta and I liked her fine but I'm testing the waters with other characters. I wanted to be Lily but seems she's gotta do a lot of chores to be good (which is funny because Juri is the same way) I think the character walktrhoughs in the battle hub do a pretty good job of explaining how to play the characters though. I only did it with Juri but I could see myself doing it with other characters to maybe make me more interested in them.

"F2P games" like Genshin are even worse because they're loaded with micro-transactions and lootboxes, which is going to cost the average person $100's of dollars a month to keep up. Meanwhile people will defend it being like "I'm F2P and I have everything bro!" while they sit in their mom's basement playing 80 hours a week. Yeah no shit you have everything, you haven't had a job in 10 years Travis and please wash your Hatsune Miku body pillow it fucking stinks!

It is true Genshin is loaded with microtransactions but you don't need to spend 100s dollars a month to "keep up" It's generally a single player game with a lot of single player monthly events but there's no reason to spend money on them. The Battle Pass (Gnostic Hymn) is $9.99 a month and probably a good value early on but after doing it so many times it's not as useful. That being said it's completely reasonable to pay 10 a month for a little bit on this game. If you're a completionist who blows all their primogems trying to roll for every character yeah then you could drop a lot of money into the game, but normal people don't need to do that.

As for Bacon's question, I can't really say. It sounded like they were fairly new to the game, but max level, but do raids every week with friends or something. And like I said Genshin is always pumping out fresh content. I could see a person just rolling with those two.

I do wonder if those invested in 14 are not buying SP FF games because they are too invested in that FF game to play another and that is why sales are not reaching the same heights. @Bacon is on board so maybe this is a wrong assumption.

I talked to someone a month or so ago and they played 2 things, FF 14 and Genshin. If I asked if they were interested in playing some other game they would say they only have time for those two. So if that holds true for a lot of FF 14 fans they won't be making the jump.

    [Blu-Ray]

Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World - (hype) 9/10

After seeing that thread about this movie, I had to reevaluate my life since I hadn't actually seen it and it's also a bannable offense by @Commissar SFLUFAN

And I can see why he enjoys it. It's like naval simulator. The film is visceral, bleak and unforgiving. It makes you stare at the screen and wonder why anyone would want to be on one of these ships. There's no super hero Jack Sparrow type stuff in here it's like Saving Private Ryan on the ocean. Moments of joy are quickly stomped out by moments of despair. All that being said it's quite enjoyable. You grow to love the crew through the good times and the bad and that's what the movie is all about.

If I have a complaint/worry, it's that enemies seem a bit spongy. If it's a full on action game battles shouldn't be lasting 6-7 minutes. Other than that everything I've seen looks fantastic.

It's because ever since FFXV when they switched to active battles, they keep the other systems the same. So you're hacking away like an action game, where an enemy should have some hit stun, react and go down fairly easily but the game is like a Final Fantasy game that you mash on the enemy that has no reaction and soaks up the damage till you deplete some huge life bar.
