  1. This should get you caught up, but Trump is being described as "seething" from a reporter I just heard in the background in the newsroom.
  2. He's saying no infrastructure bill until investigations stop. That's... a terrible argument. And Dems are speaking to reporters right now and are doing a really good job molding their message on infrastructure.
  3. Damn, a more HD version of an HD re-release, g'damn man. I remember 2016 being particularly barren, with Star Fox being almost the sole release.
  4. If it gets to 270. On the other hand, I don't think the FB memes of, "Look at all the red counties with 60 people living in them THIS IS WHY WE HAVE THE ELECOTRAL COLLAGES" will be as prevalent. I look forward to when that gets more red states into the compact.
  5. That, too, but even before that, PS3 was the last console I got last gen because the 360/Wii were more enticing the first five years of that gen (I'm including the sole year 360 was out before the other two).
  6. That happened to my brother. I'm the only college graduate in the family because he didn't want to do college; he did four classes in two semesters. He's smart and can understand difficult concepts,, but he just HATED school, so he never even got an Associate Degree. He was really hating his job as a manager at a Publix despite making decent money. He went job-hunting, and many other jobs paid less. The ones that would provide him with room to grow and good pay were city/county jobs, all jobs that required at least an Associate Degree. My mom and I warned him, and for years, I thought when this happened, I could tell him, "I told you so," and feel vindicated. But I ended up just feeling bad for him. Like, he's a good dad and became a handyman so he could have a great house for his kids, and I've seen him work hard to provide for them, so seeing it actually happen felt way different than I initially thought it would. Just getting the basest degree would have opened more doors.
  7. https://www.npr.org/2019/05/22/725616541/nevada-poised-to-become-15th-state-to-ditch-electoral-college I really want Dems to win in 2020 but lose the popular vote just to see this gain more traction in redder states, especially considering many Republicans already think they win the popular vote because of conspiracy theories regarding illegal voting and those county maps they copy/paste everywhere.
  8. Yeah, but many people I spoke with, including myself, went from 360 to PS3 or PS4 due to Sony's line-up, which was getting better each generation. So that first year when every big game from Infamous to Driveclub was met with less fanfare than you'd have hoped while MS was working with Insomniac and Harmonix, you were more excited about the future (Bloodborne/Until Dawn/Uncharted 4 at the time) and wondering why 2014 seemed disappointing.
  9. I dunno, man. I just.... I dunno. He's Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. I almost thought it was a joke until he didn't get what the O stood for.

  11. It's doing very well. Worldwide. Though it is #2 on the PS4 this year in the US, second to MK11 which did much better in North America.

  13. https://rockstarintel.com/take-two-q4-2019-earnings-report-red-dead-redemption-2-has-sold-over-24-million-copies-worldwide It's amazing how much their revenue was between GTAV and RDR2.
  14. I still have fond memories in 2014 of many wondering when the good Sony games were coming. But to be fair, Xbox had a diverse slate of exclusives that year and an Insomniac one on top of that. Many PS buyers were wondering when they were gonna get stuff like Sunset Overdrive or Project Spark or a collection like Master Chief (at least until it released and there were huge issues). Course, Bloodborne came out and the slate after that all looked promising. Plus, man, Resogun was under the fuck rated.
  15. Don't worry about the game ending. Also, just got the plat theme.
  16. I thought this was already posted, but maybe I had the idea to post this a while ago and just forgot. I like the idea, tbh. Every damn thing is already geared to help rich people, from not having to work while going to school, to being able to afford any tutor anytime, to the outdated and systemically racist legacy admissions, to sometimes subpar upbringings, etc. etc.
  17. Here are some comparisons: God of War 2 : 4.3M God of War 3 : 7.6M God of War (PS4) : 10.9M Uncharted 3 : 9.2M Uncharted 4 : 16.2M TLOU (PS3) : 8.2M TLOU (PS4) : 11.8M Also, this is the second-to-last year of this gen, and 2012 was the second-to-last of last gen. In 2012, Sony announced God of War 3, the conclusion of the GOW saga (at least the main story in the Greek world) sold 5.2 million after being out for two years instead of GOW PS4's one. Amazing.
  18. This is why, when gay marriage was legalized and some of the board conservatives said, "I bet they'll still complain about something later!" they don't understand that the dislike/fear of gay people is deeper than legalization of gay marriage. Same-sex marriage was one of the things -- along with DADT repeal, hate crimes legislation and gay adoption -- that was a pillar of gay rights legislation. The fear of homosexuals is why all of them had to be fought for and why we still have stories like this.
  19. It doesn't take long to get the secret ending, FYI. Just keep doing the additional story missions as they pop up post-game.
