So in the past week. It's been shown that Trump is half a billion in debt and his businesses bled money. RGB died and it led to towering donations to Democrats. Trump tanked the debate. Trump's close assistant has COVID. I'm still wondering what, if any, October Surprise we're going to get. That Comey Letter was the ultimate one.

tbh, I wasn't unaware campaigning in small areas has effects in suburbs as well. I wish the thread were still around before the dreaded Board Wipe of 2018, but Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton's Doom Campaign is an amazing read on her campaign strategy. Bill was a retail campaigner and really wanted to go to these small, mostly white areas, but their campaign strategist, Mook, was a big numbers guy who didn't think it numerically made sense to do that.

I scored two preorders -- one from Amazon Germany and one from Walmart. It's mostly just in case one cancels on me, but ideally, I'd like to use Best Buy since there's one close to me and I shop a lot there. If one is confirmed, I'm canceling the other one.- 28 replies

Finally reading some of the posts here made during the debate. So I think Biden did fine as we're seeing from polling, and at the same time, I'm sure he could do a lot better in how he responds to Trump anyway (asking him to name a Dem governor I think would have been good). I think some of us, as skillz was saying, can overthink this. It actually reminds me of 2008 on the CEB. McCain was going all-out on Obama in the last debate, and at one point when Obama was asked if Palin was qualified, he said he thinks that's up to the American people to figure out. And some here were screaming, "NO, GO AFTER HER! THERE'S SO MUCH MATERIAL!" and then before the post-debate polls, the declaration that McCain won handily. Obama was shown to have ran away with the win. My best guess is that people really don't care about that stuff that much and knee-jerk hate interruptions, so Trump can ask "tough" questions to Biden, but an average person could think, "Just let the guy finish, geez."

After the debate, CNN did a fact check. The fact checker said, "The two sides were not equal. Nearly every line we fact checked from Trump was a lie."
