  1. Boar I promise you he was concussed last week. Calling it a back injury and letting him back in was just silly. @Biggie has a point above about the phins. Not pointing fingers, though, as the Bills kept a seemingly extremely bad guy punter for a few days longer than they maybe should have.
  2. The kid absolutely doesn’t deserve this by the football gods or any deity for that matter. He is playing so well. Glad to hear about the discharge and HE is going to want to play next weekend, but I wonder whether the League (obviously not the team) is going to impress upon the dolphins to sit him.
  3. Elbobo it went right up until game time with losing Morse, and then during the game. And yes, Allen got his hand x-rayed after the game which leads you to wonder. However, they had two cracks at in the last two minutes and didn't get it done. This is on them, unfortunately.
  4. Micah Hyde's agent just tweeted. He is done for this year. Going on season long IR.
  5. Bills normal starting 4 DBs: CB - Tre White - IR CB - Dane Jackson - possibly could have been crippled on Monday, but thankfully is able to walk, but obviously injured and unlikely to play Sunday. S - Micah Hyde - neck injury from the game and is leaving town for a second opinion...never a super positive sign. FS - Jordan Poyer - Foot Plus about 3-4 other starters injured or nursing, including 3 Dlinemen - Settle, Oliver and Phillips. ...oh boy. The first part of the Bills' schedule is brutal (LA and Tenn, followed by Phins, Ravens, Pitt and Chiefs) and two plus weeks after the start of the season this is where they sit with injuries. Bet accordingly.
  6. reports are that he was able to move both his legs. Edit: @Biggie I apologize, to be clear, he was able to move his arms and legs.
  7. Such great points, Slug, and spot on, and you may have even swayed me. My goodness the off the field turmoil was so very bad, that simply having a good man who has had success and can steer young players, which he most certainly does, is an asset that the team needs badly. It's just I look at this team, as it sits right now, and I like a good number of solid players that when I watch some of their games (Sunday ticket) I'm like, "...come on...come on. There's got to be more. You guys can do more, but you're not being set up that way." If they slide into just the right spot, though, as a team with the pistons firing just right...man.
  8. I wanted to say this before the season, but forgot, and please forgive me @Slug Put this possibly under “unpopular opinion” if you want, but I believe (and have believed) that Ron Rivera is one of the most overrated coaches in the league…maybe even a Jeff Fisher Award winner. I love that he beat cancer…but it is not an excuse for giving him a pass on being not very good at the coaching of the football. I’ve usually thought that the talent under him was usually better than his coaching. This isn’t a knee jerk reaction to them losing to Detroit. On the contrary, losing to Detroit is the example of a coach (Campbell) doing more with less, and quicker. I like the Commanders as a team, in general. Just not the coach. The man is a good one. The coach is meh.
  9. Abs, btw, I "get" Hackett, but it still just wasn't right. You are paying your QB not good money, but elite money potentially for situations exactly like 4th and 6 at mid-field with a minute left. Lose because your 40 million QB couldn't get it done (but hopefully he does), not because your kicker didn't hit from 60 plus yards out. He blinked...he blinked hard.
  10. I have that on a t-shirt. It's awkward when I wear it to church.
  11. I really like Russ, but yeah, it was so weird seeing so many superlative predictions thrown at them for 2022 success in such a brutal division.
  12. Biggie is Marcus starting? Ohhhh, I so dug Ridder during the preseason.
  13. I am extremely comfortable with less designed runs by Allen going forward. Jeepers when you look at the numbers this game was crazy. For crying out loud they were the world champions. The pistons were firing everywhere and all the time tonight. This with three turnovers in the first half.
  14. I can't even tell you how much I have always liked this guy. OK, I will...a lot. Loved him when he was here. He was everywhere, but will always be a Bill to me.
  15. I think I put only boxing and/or wrestling ahead of tennis when it comes to grueling, individual and direct competition. In some instances it is more intense...running left to right, forward and backwards, sometimes as hard as you can, over the course of as much as three hours. Like doing gassers from football for an entire afternoon and then swinging a stick. It's a hobby for some who are strong and physically fit enough to handle it. ...which isn't everybody.
  16. Reminds me of this. No, he didn't win, but as a kid growing up in the 70s and 80s and being a tennis fan and seeing the glory days of tennis first hand and being a fan of all the likes of Connors, Borg, Arthur Ashe (I had his signature racquet), Ile Nastase, Vitas Gerulaitis (briefly), and my favorite at the time, Guillermo Vilas, until he was replaced when McEnroe came around was as big a part of my youth as much as any of the major sports I followed as a kid. But time passes and things change and the "stars" you enjoyed as a kid grow old and move on to other things, as do you. However, as a young adult watching Connors make this run at Flushing Meadows in '91 I couldn't help but feel like that little boy again watching in awe as someone whose time had seemingly past him shook off the rust and went for one more ride for me and others to enjoy. I remember it like it was yesterday, during a time when I was in awe again, and when I was remembering my earlier yesterdays due to the performance of an athlete at sunset. Serena...you go girl. Win it.
  17. Yes indeed. However...Happy 97th Birthday today to Hall of Fame Coach Marv Levy.
  18. Sorry. I just can't pick on the Browns. I owe them quite a bit.
  19. Madden ratings all out as of last Friday. Madden NFL 23 Player Ratings - Electronic Arts WWW.EA.COM Explore the detailed Madden 23 ratings, and week-by-week season updates of players ratings from Madden NFL 23. Meh...OK. I think overall QBs appear down maybe based upon some of the talk that things may be a little easier or tailored towards offenses and QBs this year so they had to dial them back a bit. EA Tiburon has Brady as the best QB in the game and the Bucs as the best team. We'll see.
  20. Well, Baker now slinging for the Panthers.
  21. Loved Mike Grier when he was in Buffalo...loved him afterwards for that matter, too. Just a quality leader on and off the ice.
  22. I'll state what I stated in my other, more Buffalo centric boards. In a situation where you feel utterly powerless in the face of such tragedy and evil something as simple as just giving not only makes you feel like you did at least a little something for those in need, but more so food matters in this situation…hell, it matters in all situations. We gave to the BCF (Buffalo Community Fridge) Sunday. This isn’t a brag. This is a plea.
  23. @Keyser_Soze I've watched some more. ...yeah, the football leans to the s****y side...alot.
