Haha. I killed Kahga and then traveled down to the beach where the boy was seduced by music. I helped him out and then bam, grove was sealed off. I managed to sneak 8n to loot but after that, I'm moving on. One thing that is happening right now is my party isn't following me so I'm not sure if it's a glitch or not.

Yes. It takes time getting used to how this plays but after a few hours it becomes familiar. Being a Barbarian I had the option of just brute forcing the lid off the capsule Shadowheart was in. It was easy. Just take you time and enjoy.
