The only ActivLizzard products that I foresee remaining multiplatform are those with a significant GAAS presence, i.e. Warzone. It will be pretty much identical to how Fallout 76 and The Elder Scrolls Online remained multiplatform after the Bethesda acquisition while Starfield, TES VI, and future projects will be Xbox/PC exclusive. And let's face it: the MS platform is GamePass (not Xbox) and for that content is king.

I really don't put much stock in the "Sony/Nintendo/etc. is shitting themselves" perspective at all. For all intents and purposes, these companies have been operating with EXTREMELY different corporate strategies for more than a few years now to the point where I'm not even sure that they're even competing in the same market space.

MS can't acquire Rockstar Studios on its own unless Take-Two (stupidly) decides to sell it. MS would have to acquire the entirety of Take-Two Interactive and I just don't see that happening at this point.

I really do believe that MS's ultimate goal is platform agnosticism.

Rockstar is entirely owned by Take-Two Interactive who have a market capitalization of $18.3 billion and are frequently rumored as an EA takeover target. Epic is 40% owned by Tencent, the world's largest videogame company.

Exactly! I had the same reaction as well! It just goes to show how the last couple of years have robbed our sense of time of all meaning and perspective!

I COMPLETELY lost it at the gym yesterday when I read that inane tweet from her: It REALLY set me off to no end.

I guess it's time for an update! I've hit my initial goal of once again fitting into my suits! In fact, the pants are fitting a bit loose around my waist and the jackets are fitting a little snug around my shoulders which pleases me greatly! As for my waist, I'm back down to 34" which is exactly where I wanted to be by the end of January/middle of February so I'm a bit ahead of schedule. For all practical purposes, this means that I can ease up a bit on the two-a-day workouts while completely maintaining the 16/8 intermittent fasting schedule and the restricted diet. But most importantly, I can start playing videogames again as I'd decided to put my preferred hobby on hold while I got my physical conditioning back to where I wanted it to be! Funnily enough, I'm back to exactly where I was about two years ago when I made this thread: What REALLY pisses me off is that I was doing freakin' great until the Most Boring/Stupidest Apocalypse Ever COMPLETELY derailed my progress I sure as hell ain't gonna let that happen again!
