They don't need to overthrow it when they're already well-embedded in large swathes of the state security apparatus.

There are enough members of the various security services that are at least somewhat sympathetic to aspects of their ideology that they don't have to "destroy" the country to be a dangerous threat.

I don't think it does. Hasbro/WotC has clearly demonstrated that they can't be trusted, so third-party creators (if they had any sense) need to just "move on" to ORC or some other open license.
