IdeaOfEvil Posted October 12, 2019 Share Posted October 12, 2019 “Titans” Offers Poll For Jason Todd’s Death via DarkHorizons sourced from Polygon Quote The recent second season episode of the DC Universe series “Titans” ended on a cliffhanger as Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) and Starfire (Anna Diop) were unable to stop the assassin Deathstroke (Esai Morales) from dropping Jason Todd (Curran Walters) off of a building. The young Robin fell and the show suddenly cut to black. Now the streaming service’s forum is offering a poll asking fans to vote on whether Jason should survive: “Will he live or will Jason Todd die? Take the poll below to let your voice be heard!” says the site. This is hardly the first time the character’s fate has been put to a popularity vote. The 1988 Batman comic story “A Death in the Family” ended with the potential death of Jason Todd and readers were offered the opportunity to call a 1-900 number and vote on whether he should survive. In the comics, he ultimately met his demise at the Joker’s hands. As a TV series is a whole different thing and the subsequent episodes for the rest of the season have already been shot and most finished, the poll will hold no weight and is just a bit of fun. Nevertheless there’s a lot of people who want him dead with the ‘kill him’ option tracking slightly higher at 51% of the vote after 12,000 votes have been counted. “Titans” continues to air on DC Universe. Source: Polygon I was too young to vote for the comic book back in the day, and I feel like I'm too old to vote on this show. But it's kind of a neat throwback, imo. In any case, I actually like the actor and how he meshes with everyone else on the show, so if he does get killed off I hope he (can) immediately come back as the Red Hood and do a villain run for the show. I haven't been watching the show but I remember when they did this back in the day and people voted for Jason to die which sucked. My uncle collected comic books in the 80's, and as a little kid I remember I used to have to sneak into his closet to open them up and read them (or at least look at the pictures, lol). That's how I became popular for all of one week in school because I got to see how Robin died when the comic was sold out everywhere and the other kids had no idea what was going on =) My house was an odd place where you would be shamed for opening comic books but not for looking at porn magazines 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
