I even got some imported versions (still can't tell if real or copies) so I am happy to see an official release is happening here in the States. I ordered my copy. Just make sure you watch the connecting film Space Battleship Yamato 2199: Odyssey of the Celestial Ark as it helps understand season 2. It's meant to be watched after season 1 but before season 2. Like, I bought all my discs after they had mostly all been released and really had to hunt down the slips through Japanese auction sites.
