Brian
ESPN, Fox, Warner Bros. to launch sports streaming platform - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM ESPN, Fox and Warner Brothers Discovery announced plans on Tuesday to launch a sports streaming platform in the fall that will include offerings from at least 15 networks and all four major... Quote The platform will include games from the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, WNBA, NASCAR and college sports, including Men's and Women's March Madness, as well as golf, tennis and the FIFA World Cup. It will include offerings from 15 linear networks -- ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network, ACC Network, ESPNEWS, ABC, FOX, FS1, FS2, Big Ten Network, TNT, TBS, truTV -- and ESPN+. If you only care about sports, I can see this being attractive depending on the price.
Biggie
Seems like something that could potentially be good. But I’m sure ESPN will fuck it up somehow.

Ricofoley
Something I'm not totally clear on, is this going to be like the exclusive way to get these networks, or is stuff like Sling, Fubo, YouTube TV etc. still going to carry these? Because it seems like completely kills Sling and Fubo at a minimum otherwise.
Chris-
The list of included channels is extremely compelling, but there are two issues: 1. Unless I'm mistaken all of them are available on YouTube TV, so that is the price ceiling - and I have to think this service will cost $40-50/mo given the volume of content, competitive landscape, and revenue cannibalization (since a lot of subscribers will be new cable cutters, so the loss of carriage fee eats into margin). 2. No USA, so unless NBC decides to start putting USA-broadcast matches on Peacock, you'd lose out on most of the major PL matches. That alone would keep me with YouTube TV, especially if the service costs as much as I think it will.
