Funcoland was my first job in high school, and I fractured my knee within the first hour. I had to wait for my mom to pick me up because she went shopping instead of home. At least the medical bills were paid, and I received workers' compensation for a couple months. I still have issues with that knee and have injured it a few times since that happened. It always seems like my left side gets hurt the most.

How did you fracture a knee in a gamestop?

I bent at my knees to pick up empty boxes. My kneecap slid out of place and went under the bone. When I straightened my leg, it broke a piece of bone off in my knee. I heard a snapping sound, and my leg went out from under me. I couldn't put any weight on the leg without intense pain, and a coworker thought I sprained it. Even the ER doctor thought it was a sprain until two days later. They called and told me I had to see a knee specialist asap. He checked it and was thinking the same thing until he pressed a spot and knew I fractured it when I winced in pain. During surgery, they removed bone fragments and drained blood. The surgeon said it was just a freak accident.

You should have traded your knee in for either a few games or cash value.
