Ivan Reitman, the influential filmmaker and producer behind beloved comedies from “Animal House” to “Ghostbusters,” has died. He was 75. Reitman died peacefully in his sleep Saturday night at his home in Montecito, Calif., his family told The Associated Press.

At Cinemacon in August, he came out and introduced the screening of Ghostbusters Afterlife with Jason. It was a really sweet scene and you could tell how proud Ivan was.

I recently watched Dave for the first time during the beginning of the pandemic and found it to oddly comforting. Dude was very influential and could direct a wide range of comedies.
