The death toll, worst in poorer countries and among the under-fives, needs urgent action, experts say.

Quote

More than 1.2 million people died worldwide in 2019 from infections caused by bacteria resistant to antibiotics, according to the largest study of the issue to date.

This is more than the annual death toll from malaria or Aids.

Poorer countries are worst affected but antimicrobial resistance threatens everyone's health, the report says.

I while back i was listening to a report where in these parts of the world access to Drs. was really bad, but they could get antibiotics really easy and would just take them whenever they got sick, without any thought to how long they were supposed to take them and at times not even taking the same ones throughout the illness, and was just like COOOOOOOOOOOLLLL.
