I... don't think this is true at all. FF7 takes < 40 hours to beat unless you're going bananas and trying to get everything. HLTB has the average playtime at 37 hours, nobody's spending 20 in Midgar.

Yeah, on the high side, Midgar is 8-10 hours. I just replayed it this summer. It’s not even the majority of Disk 1. Maybe half of it.

and it’s not like theres a lot to explore and discover in Midgar, it’s mostly linear until the end of the chase. There are a few secrets, but not a ton.

I downloaded Remake last night and am starting a play through I intend to finish before rebirth launches.

I almost bought the CE, but then I saw the price. 350$ is a bit much for a game and a Sephiroth statue. I want the statue, just not 350$ want the statue.

Legit scratching my head about how/why Bill, if he had gone back (he rescinded his commitment once the WGA & AMPTP agreed to talk again), how would that be any different than any talking head show on CNN/MSNBC/FOX? He won't have the opening monologue, no bit in the middle, nor any 'New Rules', just a few on stage to discuss politics of the day/week.

It isn’t, really. He was just taking out the monologue.

I support the writers striking, but I also support the right of Camera men, craft services, makeup artists, assistants, etc to work and earn for their families. I think Mager is 100% right about that, and it is completely ignored amongst all the union stuff.  I think the idea that whole crews have to starve while the strikers collect strike pay (which is insufficient, but better than those who don’t get to work or strike) is going off the deep end. It’s not like the staff on the show are responsible for studios not negotiating.

should the rest of them unionize? Sure, I think everyone should, but that is historically difficult in America.

I also don’t irrationally hate Maher, and I think his views are pretty average across most of America, so whatever I guess.

So apparently the series is solid enough but because Mel's private life became public, his mere presence just sends the show off the rails ... I really miss being able to just fucking enjoy an actor/musician/artist regardless of whether or not they're a POS IRL but just enjoy them for their quality of work. You can do both you know.

I'll reserve judgement til I watch myself.

I mean, some people will never forgive anyone for anything. If there's no public redemption for people (outside of rape/child molestation/other crimes that deserve the death penalty), then outrage towards them isn’t worth engaging with. Dude apologized, he’s a fantastic actor, let him act.

I feel the same for any figure outside of the Mastersons/Weinsteins/etc. If the outrage doesn’t allow redemption, it’s really just a hate mob.

     KEEP THE FAITH!

I actually don’t care, I just don’t see it. It really seems like malicious prosecution that is rarely charged against any other individual.

I guess I see the hounding of family who aren’t involved in administrations by opposition as one of the ultimate disgusting political acts.

I will not REST until Hunter Biden is out of jail!!!!!

He ain’t going to jail. If he does, it will only be until his father is reelected. Somehow I doubt it even goes to trial before then.

these are crimes that never get prosecuted like this, they are generally used as enhancements. Also it directly contradicts recent rulings.

theres so many holes in this shit

Come on, as someone with friends who loved the Peruvian Marching Powder, I can tell that guy has a PROBLEM.

One has a very public history with addiction, the other has armchair experts making claims.

There is literally no proof of what you’re saying.

that said, the whole family should be investigated for crimes committed long before 2016. I don’t think any of them are innocent of at least financial crimes related to Trump in NYC. And Especially Ivanka, getting copyrights from China while her father was president. And then of course Jared and 2bn Saudi dollars. Those things are real.

Yup, don't even think this one's going on the "on sale" list, haha. That footage alone felt like I was watching just random bullshit from any random AC title. And I mean that in terms of everything. Visuals, gameplay, animation. It's like no ambition to improve or change anything besides "what if we regressed back to our old games."

Ubisoft has shut down so many creative games just to do this shit. How incomprehensible.

I mean, the original trilogy is far better than anything since, and I welcome a return to the style, as well as shortened campaign, over more bullshit like Odyssey and Valhalla.

I just did this mission as well…

First off, it seems to kill off your favorite companion (or the one that has the highest affinity to you). Or the second favorite depending on where you go. Which is pretty… not like Bethesda I guess. It was the first time the game got my attention plot wise.

But it also like … ok for me killed Sarah who I had actually spent hardly any time with but was interested in her story and she feels like, I dunno almost the defacto main companion to me. So I’m like… shit. I wonder what I’m gonna be missing.  But the other option is Barrett and I love Barrett so I’m not letting him go.

    Spoiler

After Sarah’s death I just made Anreja my woman.

she has a cooler story anyway.

So I installed a mod so each vendor has 50,000 credits since they all seemed weirdly broke and it was annoying going I like 8 cities to sell my stuff.

I happened to go to Akila to sell stuff, and while sorting out my inventory I accidentally dropped a small item like a med pack or something. So I crouch down to pick it up and a weird loot box pops up in a puddle. It's for the general store merchant and is a classic Bethesda merchant box hidden under the ground.

Merchants restock every two days, so I've just been sitting down nearby for 48 hours and then looting this merchant for tons of items and 50k credits, it's great. I could just cheat this stuff in but it's way funnier that the chest doesn't even require any special janking around the environment, it's just in a puddle in front of the general store. I looked it up and apparently it's a well known thing people have been doing for a while!

Yup. I saw an article about this puddle a few days ago

  10. One of the wettest and coldest here. I realize that’s obviously not the norm, im not a climate change denier whatsoever and this is just a different extreme of climate change. Rivers are higher than they ever have been during even the spring, and our forests are pure swamps with standing water everywhere. Our moose season starts next Sunday, and the marsh our scaffold is in is more like a lake. The river my house is on is 3-4 feet higher than it’s ever been, regardless of time of year, and the beaver pond I fish trout in is completely washed out after 70mm of rain last Friday evening and Saturday.

weirdest summer ever. Cutting firewood has been awful, working in pools of water all over our property. At least it’s cold enough that we aren’t dealing with bugs.

I cannot wrap my head around the hubris to be, “why have I, noted cocksman, been called out for my sexual activity? Ah it must be because when I get in front of a microphone I keep it TOO REAL.”

I mean, if it was just being a manwhore, he shouldn’t be called out. As long as it’s consensual, we shouldn’t give a shit.

but this isn’t “sexual activity”, it’s rape, and he should burn for it.

Apparently one girl got a rape kit done. It’s doubtful, but hopefully the hospital still has it, and this guy can get at least some of what he deserves.
