Or "nazi"
Though he does have an extensive vocabulary as far as repeatedly dogwhistling "honk"

As excited as I am for this I think i can wait a bit instead of paying full amount to test the first run of my upgraded luxury interactive picture machine.

If demand is high enough how long of a wait would it be until a re-stock?

He's running as Comstock. But really he's Ryan. But more than anything he's Fontaine. What could go wrong?
You'd think it's not a big ask to live in a country where the politics of Bioshock cities aren't trying to be willed into reality all the time but here we are.

Didn't catch the whole thing but hearing all the RNC presenters within an hour subconsiously projecting Joe Biden as some radical antifa super soldier boogeyman kinda puts it in perspective why the GOP seems increasingly afraid and embittered.

A dream come true! Thank you Studio MDHR

7 hours in...won't lie, I'm surprised by how genuinely...emotional the story is? How is it making me cry so much? The first one had feels aplenty but this story is going beyond what I usually expect from videogames.

Is it still launching on PS4 and X1 this month?
EDIT: nope

Ain't it a flip how bad Karens are at living, laughing and loving?

The 2018 one is mostly a refresh (or reboot or whatever the term would be) so you should be ok. 1-3 can be fun if you're into movies like Clash of the Titans and like 90's comics and want an experience close to that, and playing them first does give some context that could help make the emotional beats in the PS4 game more impactful if you dig the stories in these games.

The first two hours of this were among the most interesting anything I've seen in visual/audio format. By the end it was mostly confusing. The online gameplay was nifty. Once my internet is repaired maybe I'll revisit it again.

Good question. The year for gaming when I was 18 was kinda bonkers, so I honestly don't know.

Still no response, Wade, if that is your real name? I hope you reconsider soon. Just know that screenshots have been taken of all the bigoted things your "persona" has said. Your fate is now sealed, I just thought you'd want to issue a statement about the fact that your platform will be soon be taken.
That's right, Wade is given an early retirement. As of now I am mercifully allowing him to relinquish his stronghold over this forum. I will be the new administrator here. All that needs to be done is hacking into the mainframe and D1P will be mine. It might take weeks or even years, but trust me, it will happen. Do not confuse my kindness with weakness. Do not underestimate me.
I'm hoping it doesn't come to it, but if things continue to escalate and this is his preferred method of resolving this, it is an option for him I will consider.
Goodness…when did I author this post? Ugh, not again. I knew I should’ve taken 2 mg instead of 5mg of ambien yesterday.
Anywho, Wade, I just saw your DM from yesterday - the paragraph about all the anime you secretly love watching.
It turns out that Wade does in fact watch lots of anime, so rest assured everyone, there’s no need to check him on if he actually enjoys meaningful cultural experiences or not

I'm terrible at BRs so I don't play often but stuff like this and Apex seem a hundred times more enticing than the CODs and PUBGs of the genre. If you have this giant map/playspace in a competitive multiplayer FPS, why not go all out and add creative movesets, interesting traversal mechanics, even physics and destructible environments? I'm still holding out to see what an IP like Titanfall and a modern day-set Battlefield will bring to the table before I get invested in this genre, but this game seems like it has some decent potential so far.

Definitely in my wheelhouse. Sucks that it's still a year away from launch.

Daft Punk's soundtrack for me was the least interesting thing they've done musically though I did enjoy it as a movie score. Kosinski's visual sensibilities made Legacy a fun watch, so I'm glad he's directing. I will definitely see this if it gets made.

The fact that Emperor is not much of a fan of real east asian cultural imports but loves Shadow Warrior is pretty interesting I have to say. It's becoming difficult to not imagine him as an IRL version of the Will Sasso character in Entourage after saying some of the stuff he does.

Based on these responses and some stuff I looked up online this morning I should probably do a playthrough before the next remake. Wish I had played it in the 90's, but better late than never.

I've actually never played it before! FF7R is my first experience w/ any story in the FF7 world.

1) Its a meta commentary on being able to deviate further from the original’s plot beats after Midgar, if they so choose. In other words, it communicates that it doesn’t have to go down as people remember it. Whereas this Part 1 was course corrected by the ‘whispers’ / fan expectations holding true.
2) There’s now a secondary timeline that deviates heavily from the original. They could riff on that Lost-style to add more intrigue for those that played the first game. It’s unknown how they’ll interact and what the characters know about it.
3) Cynically, it gave them the excuse for you to fight the big bad super prematurely. Though not as a final encounter clearly.
They did end up fleshing out a lot of characters and events further like other remakes. That’s part of it too. But it’s evident they wanted to break free from the expectations of ‘its muh FF7 dont you change a thing of consequence.’Oddly, they’ve said since the release they don’t want the next entries to deviate too far. It sounds like it won’t be a total do over.
Playing the original might be a good idea if you want to know where they do change things up. It could give that more context. But you’ll be able to know some of that anyways based on what I said earlier.
That's what I'm wondering. Maybe the Whispers are mainly intended as a narrative framing device for the purpose of helping the playthroughs of the remake feel fresh like anything could happen. I'm just not sure why there needed to be in-game lore about this and multiverse stuff instead of a blurb in an interview from the the team about changing and updating some things as if they waited until now to tell the original story (like REmake), unless there will be more changes than we think and the goal is to make both a remake and sequel to some extent. Guess we'll find out when the next game drops.

Dope, I'll keep that in mind.

Since there's already games with portal guns and dimensional riftshifting and the ones in the demo are from a weapon/device, everything seems to point to Ratchet obtaining one at some point to upgrade for some bonkers Prey/Portal/Titanfall gameplay possibilities
