I did a vampire double header but I wasnt interested in doing the super sexual sophisticated vampire type film.
Near Dark 8/10
Dark and bleak western horror. No giant castles or wealthy socialites to be seen. Its middle America wasteland where the vampires are homeless vagabonds and everyone else is cattle waiting to be served.
Nosferatu
10/10
The OG of vampire films. Count Orlok is an absolute walking nightmare of a creature that brings disease with him . The mix of German expressionism and camera tricks make him sympathetic and horrible, disgusting and yet some how you cant take your eyes off of him. Its not just one of the best horror films of all time, it maybe in the top 5 greatest films ever for me.

i was watching a video on monday that said apatow ok’d eichner’s idea to make all of the lgbt characters played by actual lgbt people
Maybe its just me but that sounds kind of shitty . Thats something that shouldnt have to be "approved" it should be the de facto standard.

Hellraiser Reboot
I absolutely love Hellraiser 1 and 2 , 3 even .For fucks sake I have Hellraiser statues, prints and action figures so calling me a fan is an understatement. This one is one of the worst horror films I have seen in awhile. At least 90% of the dialog is the main characters screaming at one another and thats not an over exaggeration. It feels like an attempt to make the audience feel on edge but instead its eye rolling . The filmmakers could have done some interesting parallels with pleasure of drugs vs the pain of addiction but instead we get the old "cant believe them ,cause they on drugs routine". The characters themselves are douchey and lifeless , at one point the main character wrestles with a terminal senior citizen who gets stabbed and then just nopes the fuck out. One characters defining trait is " i am the roommate". The dimension hopping reality warping demons on occasion can be bested by characters doing their best solid snake impression cause fuck it why not. This film also makes the same poor choice as some of the sequels by delving into the how and the why of the box and the cenobites. This is one of the stories that benefits from less is more route.
The new priestess is great, the voice she uses is exactly how it sounded in my mind when reading the original novella. Its very raspy and and ethereal sounding. Her look is more like that of the novella as well, she has an androgynous look that I like a lot. Overall all the cenobites have a different look, gone is the black leather and S/M fetish gear and replaced with a body modifications suits. The practical effects are a testament to the craft, the gore has a that wet look that CGI can not match.

Kodiak Protein-packed Power Waffles Blueberry Frozen Waffles - 8ct : Target
WWW.TARGET.COMRead reviews and buy Kodiak Protein-Packed Power Waffles Blueberry Frozen Waffles - 8ct at Target. Choose from contactless Same Day Delivery, Drive Up and more. One item I like to do for lunch is the "basic bitch fajita's". Get some chicken or steak with a lot of veg. You can make your own seasoning or buy pre made , grill that shit up on Sunday and make a 3 or 4 days worth. I eat it just like that with some cheese and hot sauce on top and no tortilla . You get a lot of food and its fairly low cal as long you dont go overboard on the cheese.

Any suggestions for a cheap protein powder and a cheap abdominal workout machine?
For the most part protein mix's are all about the same but unfortunately you kind of have to experiment with them to get a good taste. I use a pea protein mix because whey fucks my stomach up something fierce. I mix mine with cold brew coffee and either oat milk or creamer.
I cant recommend an ab machine because generally something like doesn't really work very well. If you core is weak , you need to build up the entire core with exercise. If your new to this or very out of shape then just start with body weight exercises.

Its a 9000lb super car. The ride height is absurd and it throws off your perspective to just how fast you are going.

So the last David Cronenberg movie I had revisited and posted about here was Dead Ringers and I loved it. Videodrome, loved it big time. The Brood, also great.
I got to The Fly over the weekend and I had very fond memories of this one, such a great movie in my mind. After revisiting it, I actually think this is my least favorite Cronenberg I've revisited so far. I know Goldblum is great in this in many ways but I just don't really like the film itself anymore. It lacks the weird, otherworldly feel of his other movies, the cinematography isn't as interesting and there's something about the pacing that feels unsatisfying. Her boss, the guy John Getz plays, is kind of a nothing-ish character who seems to veer from "oh man, he's gonna be a villain-level wrench in these gears" to...not. I don't know, I was really surprised because I always remembered this as a great one from back in the day. If I rate it based purely on my viewing now, it's a 6/10 for me.
Its the least "Cronenbergian" Cronenberg film. I enjoyed the romantic tragedy aspect and the fact its a horror with no real bad guy but its also my least favorite of his films.

Shudder's Queer For Fear
A 4 part docu series about LBTQ+ influence in horror films and horror literature, currently only 1 episode is out. Much like Shudder's Noir documentary, it is fucking fantastic. My biggest disappointment is in myself, being such a fan of horror and how little I knew about the subject.

I personally consider American society's interest (bordering on obsession) in serial killers and the true crime genre to be silly at best, if not prurient.
However, if this series is truly focusing on the victims and law enforcement's lack of interest in pursuing their cases because they came from marginalized segments of society, then that in itself is worthy of consideration.
It does a good job of not showcasing him as some super predator. He is portrayed as a vile disgusting human being but in doing so the show doesnt shy away from his acts. It also does a wonderful job of recreating that time period, homes are a mush of yellow and brown and you can almost smell the cigarette smoke.

That popped up in my feed too... No way I was watching that after seeing it protrayed in the film.
Yeah they do a good job of humanizing his parents ESPECIALLY his father. I forget that actor's name but he's great in everything I've ever seen him in. My only critique of the series is that it kinda fizzles at the end. Like it could have been one or two episodes shorter than it was.
Richard Jenkins
Dude is a hell of a supporting actor and is damn good in this.

I think following the story of the game is a mistake as well. After the Cyberpunk anime I feel like the right way to go for adaptations is to live in the same world but not tell the same story. Stories for games won't translate well because they're just a very different medium. I suppose TLoU is at least more amendable to be adapted because it's very structured and linear, but I still think it would be better to just do something else in the world.
Got to disagree here. Cyberpunk has this massive cool world where there are thousands of good stories to tell outside of what the game gave us. As much as I love TLOU, it suffers from problem as TWD. Each story just really breaks down to Character Vs Clickers and Character Vs survivors and unfortunately the best of the stories have already been told with Joel and Ellie.

I have the Samsung Galaxy A20 Tracfone and was using Straight Talk $35 plan. This past Monday i was at the mall with my mom and noticed at boost mobile they have a $15 plan so i decided to switch. They put in a new sim card (I didn't get my old sim card back)and the person said that it might take some time before i could make any calls. So far it hasn't worked yet and i talked with customer service a few times with online chat. This last time they mentioned this model might not be compatible with boost network but the store employee said it should have declined signing up when i went Monday. Do you think the phone just needs to be unlocked? I went back to the store and they said unfortunately i can't get a refund for the money spent switching over. They said i should go buy a new phone at Wal-Mart for decent price and could sign up for boost. Also mentioned that maybe we should refute the charges to try to get the money back?
Have you done this to see if your phone is actually compatible ?

How do we get more people to vote?
1. Make it easier to vote.
The last time we voted we had to drive to the location that was closest to our address even though there were sites right next to the places we work. Its a rule put in place for one reason and thats to deter voting.
2. Companies should be required to provide paid time off for voters, both State and Fed. to participate .
3. Remove the bullshit that felons cant vote. This fucking country has such a hard on for this type of shit.
