Yup, I've brought that up here before, which boggles my mind.

I think the reason it doesn't feel longer, or at least doesn't feel significantly longer, than IGN is just because of how much happened when I was on IGN, personally speaking. I was graduating high school, then going to a local college, then a university, changing majors, all that jazz. Whereas I've been an adult in a career for much of my BC/D1P time.

That's kind of a cliché of getting older though, ya know? The older you get, the faster time passes. When you're growing up and learning new things, every day is more meaningful.

But now we're all old and crotchety. And jaded. And crotchety. So much crotch going on in here.

Unless it's changed fairly recently, having literally any college degree is correlated with significantly higher lifetime earnings compared to people without a 4 year degree. That doesn't warrant taking out massive loans to obtain nor justifies the continual inflation of the cost of said degree of course, but in general getting any degree is better than not having one even if we're talking solely economics and none of the other benefits of a college education.

I don't know the statistics, but there are simply FAR too many unemployed or underemployed people with college degrees to make it a rational decision for most young adults. The hiring criteria has changed entirely for most businesses compared to prior generations.

Unfortunately, I doubt the game will ever see the light of day:

Black Forest Games, the studio behind the development of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin, has laid off 50% of its employees.

Well this thread has certainly been sweet and sour.

I remember a dude who made comics about the Vesti. Like he made this comic where somebody sees a crash and rushes home to post about it on the Vesti, that sort of stuff.

He also made a comic about @Karld316 saying if 50 mods post in his thread, he'd stop posting on the Vesti, and the number 50 mod was some guy saying, "I did mj's mom last night," and mj was one of the mods. He complained that it wasn't fair, that some people were made temp mods to articifically bump up the numbers and people kept it bumped so mods could see, and then one of the mods said to stop complaining and that they were close to making him a mod so he could be the 50th mod to post and get himself banned from the Vesti.

He was banned from the vesti.

The statement in question was released in 2018. Daniels later said it was a lie made under pressure due to a non-disclosure agreement.

It hurts her credibility to show that she can be manipulated to say things.

But there's still evidence of a payment, so.

This could very well be the most "intelligent" position for him to take for the general election as it effectively maintains the status quo.

It's the slightly "less scary" thing to say, but it's also the least "Christian nationalist" thing to say which will piss off his core voters. Given that his general election appeal isn't likely to move much up or down, that might be a worse idea for him.

  8. Imagine deliberately bombing a sequel to your own franchise in order to... help steer your career? Oh, and deliberately involving yourself to protect the franchise's legacy by.... again, making a bad sequel?

Either that's complete nonsense or Wakowskis haven't a damn clue what they're doing.

Based on what I've seen of their work post-The Matrix, I'd say it's the latter. Sure, I enjoyed Speed Racer and Cloud Atlas, but a lot of people didn't, and they, like the Matrix sequels, are very uneven, very divisive films not for their content, but for their quality.

To expand on the Star Wars comparison @skillzdadirecta made, it's like how Lucas couldn't make a good movie without heavy studio interference. The Matrix is that movie, and when the Wakowskis were given more creative freedom... they showed weakness. Intentionally or otherwise, they aren't actually capable of replicating that success.

    No, it's in general.

Across various games, discord is used to host guides, tutorials, and general information and it sucks.

Oh, I wasn't aware of any of those features. I don't touch that stuff. I just have servers for various hobbies like retro PC hardware, headphone enthusiasts, etc. And for that reason it does a lot of good for a lot of people. Some really good communities have formed on there.
