Back when I was a brash teenager and advocated vehemently for Presidential Nominee McCain, Charles Krauthammer was one of the voices on Fox News I really looked forward to hearing. He seemed to always be the adult in the room, stamping down the overly energetic conservatives at the table with a more reasoned and level-headed perspective.

History.
What, based on the prequels? What about Iron Man 1, 2, and 3? Transformers? Spider-Man 3 versus its predecessors? Lord of the Rings? Nolan's Batman films?

Hoping, maybe, but it's hard for me to imagine that they were expecting an increase. TLJ didn't sour a significant chunk of anything. Most people loved the movie.
Why would they expect a decrease?

Disney likes making money, Johnson’s entry made well over a billion dollars at the box office alone. They don’t care about divisiveness in the fan base as long as they sell tickets and merch.
It also made less than The Force Awakens and I'm sure they were hoping for an increase.
They're also not looking two seconds ahead. If a film soured a significant chunk of the fanbase that can hurt their long-term revenue.

Indeed! Thank you!

Yo that community board was SUPER dead.
The PC general board wasn't super active but it was a good way to discuss news and it always tended to be highly technical (and hardware focused) in nature. Doesn't feel like that mixes well with general gaming talk.

Regarding the spoiler tag:
They sort of blew their wad already by killing Maul in Rebels. Would have been a great cameo had they done a Kenobi film.

I'm sorry, but you got the thread title wrong. It should read:
"Intel CEO forced to resign after letting his Netburst in someone's Front Side Bus."

Yes the article says you can pre-purchase tickets. To be honest this sounds more appealing to me than MoviePass. I don't think MP is destined to last much longer and this sounds reasonable to me.

I really can’t wrap my brain around all the complaints about the anthology movies. They are infinitely better than the latest 2 parts of the main trilogy.
Rogue One was fantastic. IMO, next to the OT, it’s the next best Star Wars movie. Solo was a lot of fun. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Why would anyone want less Star Wars? I’ll gladly go see any SW movie they throw at me. One movie a year is fine. Keep telling the stories.
On the other hand, people eat the marvel movies up and i am just so sick and not excited for them anymore. It’s the same movie swapping characters. I would’ve stopped going to see these movies a while ago if it wasn’t for my kids.
So you want the same thing you're feeling about MCU films to be replicated with Star Wars?
Star Wars doesn't need a movie every year. Especially if they let quality slide and just make winking self-references every other one.

The ONE anthology film I was looking forward to. Oh well.

My facebook feed is full of people praising Trump for reversing this law the Dems created and saving these kids lives.
I really need to remove myself from FB. It’s an absolute cesspool.
