So the whole thing with the coordinates... Just a virtual launch party.
Xbox Seemingly Announcing Digital Xbox Series Launch Events - IGN
WWW.IGN.COMWhat appear to be digital launch events for the Xbox Series X are being revealed by Microsoft's regional Xbox teams. -
Anymore this line is pretty blurry. What is this gen vs next gen? For the next few months some of the best next gen games are going to be current gen games with new paint.
All that being said - some of you need to let go of your backlog. If your list is longer than 10-15 games... you are probably never going to get to them. :)

Launch lineup revealed.
Next-Gen exclusive:I'm a little bummed and a lot confused as to why there is no Minecraft or Minecraft Dungeons on this list. I was kind of looking forward to seeing the raytracing in Minecraft and it is something my kids play a lot. There has been a lot of silence about Minecraft on the Series X since about last March.

Are people's opinions of Ep.8 supposed to change just because one or two pieces line up with Lucas's treatment?
Peoples opinions on star wars are very much like political opinions these days. If you disagree with something then not only are you wrong, but you are also a bad person. No one can just discuss anything anymore.

Great deal on a 72 inch cocoon corpse. Don't pass this up!
Sorry! Something went wrong!
WWW.AMAZON.COMCan it handle Crysis?

One thing I have been wondering is will this all have an effect on the actual movies getting made? If things don't bounce back quickly we may not see another billion dollar movie for a while. So will the studios start to cut costs on the other end? Will actor salaries come down? Feels like something will have to give.

I think they already stated that those preview units had limited compatibility, with some games like Gears 5 being back compat at first and then being removed after an update. It could be an OS thing, or it could be intentional to limit what they want the previewers to have access to. Or it could just be that they're still working on it. I guess we'll find out in November.
I have seen other reviews say that they are limited on what they can play. They are opening it up gradually. These games will all be there at launch. MS is intentionally focusing attention on certain games for preview each week.

LOTR and the Hobbit already pretty much take up an entire shelf for me. But yeah I'll have to get these eventually. I have pretty much stopped buying physical discs but LOTR will get another dip from me. The hobbit can rot.

Rumors are saying Rambo is coming.
Rambo is cool and all... but I would prefer Rocky in a fighting game.

People barely care now, I don’t think 6 months down the road you will have very large scale careAlso, with the way things are going half the country will probably have contracted it by then.
Also, international markets will continue to improve even if the US is a dumpster fire.
Well there is either a reason to care or there isn't. If we shouldn't care in 6 months then we shouldn't care now.
If nothing changes with the virus and everyone goes back to business as usual with no health repercussions... then the only real reason for all this was the election.

This will unquestionably lead to massive contraction in location counts. My initial guess would be a minimum of 30% of screens are gone.Every theater right now, drive ins the exception, is better off being closed and preserving cash until there is a steady stream of new product. But I don’t think that happens until April at this point.
That all really sucks. The movies that are still supposed to come out this year - free guy, monster hunter... I wonder what possible business they can do.
Even next April, hopefully we can be getting back to normal. But something will need to change for that to happen. Either the virus will need to mutate and not be killing people anymore, or we are going to need a working vaccine or treatment. If nothing has changed by next April then nothing will change for the theatre industry.

Last month I attended virtually the Microsoft Ignite conference. Since this was a virtual event it was free this year to sign up for. I just received an e-mail from MS that allowed me access to their 'friends and family' discount store which has all their digital items between 50-80% off. There is a limit that I was only able to spend up to $250. But you can purchase games, gamepass, copies of windows, and subscriptions to office 365. I grabbed a year of gamepass ultimate for $85.
From my understanding they have been sending out these e-mails for all of their virtual conferences and I think most of them are free to attend/sign up for. There is going to be another Microsoft Ignite in March.

Cineworld to Close All Regal Cinemas, U.K. Venues in Response to ‘No Time to Die’ Delay
VARIETY.COMCineworld is shuttering all U.S. and U.K. cinemas this coming week, just days after “No Time to Die” was pushed to April 2021.Regal done in the US. 😕

My solution on the Xbox is just going to be a fast 3.1 SSD external drive. They have shown that you can shuttle games back and forth pretty fast. I'm sure it will be the same for PS. Maybe in a year I'll buy an expansion card if the price comes down or there are sales.

Internet rumors:
HD space after OS and reserved space is 664gb.
There is also supposedly a video of a cold boot of the system that people are freaking out about because it is about 3 seconds slower than the sex... But it has not been confirmed that it was a current build.

I wonder if the release of this could be altered at all by Trump's health. If he does not recover quickly I could see Amazon putting this on hold. Might be a tacky look to release it while he is in the hospital. Depending of course on how much Trump material is in this.

So here is a new game getting 9's and 10's and being discussed as a game of the year. And somehow it isn't $70. It is $25. Or you can get it in a bundle with everything Supergiant has made for $47.

Well, April 2021 instead of March 2021 for Bond. I'm all but certain there will be no major US releases until March at this point. The market conditions simply can't improve any reasonable amount with the winter approaching, no vaccine, and people really over even trying beyond the most basic things like wearing masks indoors.
Can the big theater chains survive that long on the hope people will come back?

there were rumours of him appearing in Morbius because you see an image of Toby’s Spiderman in an alley scene in the trailer.
so I tend to think they are going Multiverse for this next phase of the Marvel Universe movie phase
Ugh. I had forgotten about Morbius. So much for 2021 being a better year.

Microsoft has been pretty generous with Nintendo. I wonder when they will get something in return...
-
This seems very weird. They have the same actor for j. K. As the 1st series, now a same villain from the 2nd series. Maybe they are setting up a live action multiverse.
Not sure they need the gimmick. But would be fun to see Toby suit up again.

Next Gen Tax. Similar thing happen in the early days of $60 console games.
I just think it is dumb. People should not pay. It isn't a Sony thing either - there are several XSX games with $70 price.
Either wait a few weeks for the price to fall or buy it on PC.

Microsoft is also going to soon release a web based version of xcloud for ios. I'm not sure if they will lock that to ios devices... but even if they do it won't be long before someone finds a hack and has gamepass games running on a PS5. But really that is all a win for Microsoft. If they can get more gamepass subscriptions then that is exactly what they want.
