I pretty much steadily running Stronghold mission on GM1, looking to round out the last three components slots and achieve full masterwork Jav. Its slow going now!

How many Legendary Contracts can you get in a day?  Those guarantee MW Components

Those MW Components though really boost armor and shields, really necessary to push to harder difficulties.

@Xbob42 what is your build? I get creamed out in the open on gm1 with either my ranger build or colossus, so maybe i’m Doing something very wrong?

I've been running GM1 as well.  The Interceptors ability to triple dash and triple jump helps that Class stay out in the open and constantly flank/dodge/attack/flee way more effectively than the other Classes.

I ran Heart of Rage with my Interceptor on GM1 and could stay in the open just quickly moving all about dodging fire and attacking.

Playing GM1 with my Colossus I can tank decently, but its def more of a fine balance of making sure you're near cover when your Shield does fall.  They need to allow more attacks to happen with your Shield up as well.

Ranger and Storm I haven't played enough at higher difficulties yet.

So I got to play a bit last night. Started by talking to a bunch of NPCs, and unlocked the Tomb quest. I jumped into freeplay, found the closest tomb and saw I did not have the requirements meet to open it. So I decided to just fly around exploring, trying to complete those little world events that randomly pop up (oh no, scorpion nest, etc).

Two hours later I have all the tombs unlocked but one, and to finish that I just need to melee kill a bunch of stuff. It was during this freeplay I got my first blues too.

Beautiful world. So f it wasn’t for the server shutting down messages the entire time I would have easily lost track of time just site seeing.

I think that's the beauty of it, and it seems like this is where they want to keep expanding the world with more and more varied events.  I love Free Play in this game, where as Free Play in Division was so boring and empty, and Destiny's free play really felt like just trying to time out public events and running from one to another.  Neither felt interesting or varied, and just were the same exact thing over and over again.

Even doing the daily contracts you get, its the same kind of missions over and over, but they keep you moving around the map, seeing different vistas or different encounters in similar places.  if they can keep expanding on that, its something I can see myself jumping in pretty regularly.  It's also fun to try different builds.  I do hope they allow you to approach a Strider and change your load out rather than having to load out and in, but who knows.

Any trick to finding these named Titans? I beat one, The Ruin Titan,  and spent 39 minutes flying around trying to find the other three. The only one that spawned for me was the Ruin Titan again. I'll try again tomorrow before the event ends.

I'm not sure if they spawn in the same spots, but 2 are on the south side of the map, 2 on the northern side.

  5. At the end of each week you'll also get Coins based on contributions from your friends list, or people that have you on their friends list.  I'm set to get about 9k coins so far at the end of this week.  It's dependent on how much people on your friends list do each week.

  6. Drop Rates seem to be just right, seem to get a Masterwork roughly each time I run a Stronghold or Contract on Grandmaster, not every time, but prob 80% of them so far.  Still no Legendary drops yet.

The loot is more interesting than I initially thought it might be, some pretty cool perks so far.  Having Masterwork Components and Skills with the special perks can really change up a build, so def looking forward to finding more.

  7. Just had a Masterwork drop off a regular enemy during a Hard Stronghold.  Always love those surprises that pop up randomly.  Hated Destiny how the only way to get Exotics were end of Nightfalls or Raids, the OG Destiny.

Also, build diversity comes through even more with the Consumables, dont forget to use those everytime as well for extra shield, faster gear charging, ect.

  8. My Masterwork Machine Pistol gets a 125% Damage boost to everything for like 5 seconds if you shoot something point blank with it, and also one of its random rolls is +115% Weapon Damage, so its putting out 550+ Damage per bullet for 54 bullet clip up close, it melts enemies, then pair that with my Interceptor Melee combos to get in close, and its a blast to play with.  Completely changed up my play style to include my gun in combat now right so late in the game.  I'm looking forward to getting some Masterwork Components.  I think they have Legendary and Masterwork varieties for all slots except Support right now.

  9. I'm about to hit Lvl 30, with 1 Masterwork Machine Pistol, rest purples.

After you ht like Lvl 20ish you'll start quickly moving to all purples.

People complain about how repetitive it is, but compare it to any other Looter Shooter, and how is it any less reptitive.  If anything I feel they way they handle world events and Free Roam makes it feel far less repetitive than most.

Diablo, arguably the king of a Looter genre, literally has essentially 2 enemy types gameplay wise.  Modifiers on enemies apply to any type of enemy, so really the only difference from enemy to enemy is what they look like on screen, not their attacks, its just the modifiers.   The gameplay loop essentially is always the same point and click.  Variety is combat is essentially non existant.  I found Destiny did a good job of making the gameplay in a Looter fun, because it forced you to think more, combat had more variety, and the co-op aspect was really fun.  I think they failed on the part of exploration though, as exploring for the most part never was rewarded.

I feel that Anthem's gameplay is really really really good for this style game, as you literally have 4 different classes that play drastically different in most cases, and force you to play each mission mostly entirely different.  It makes repeating the same content far more rewarding when you feel like youre experiencing it in a different way.

You also have the fact you dont have to repeat the same content 3 times to run different "Characters" like Destiny or Diablo forced you to.  You play through once, and get to level up each class pretty much in line with eachother, forcing you to just search for each class specific items.  Maybe thats why people are complaining about not enough content in this game even though I feel like it feels far larger than a lot of Looters.  You only have to play the content once, not 3 times, or even more in Diablo's case.  If they forced you to create 4 new characters to have each Javelin maybe they'd be better off for some gamers that are bitching after 80+ hours of playtime in a 7 days they have almost fully maxed characters.

    Hey Freelancers,

As some of you have noticed there are certain fixes that we can make without any patches (live changes), but there are others that require a client-side fix that needs to be downloaded. We have identified the following issues and are working on a client patch to resolve them:

The final boss in the Heart of Rage stronghold isn’t appearing if the group wipes before engaging

HDR is currently disabled on consoles (Xbox One and PS4)

Some players are encountering issues that are causing them to crash

While the team continues to work on the above fixes they were able to address some of the live issues that have been reported:

    Coin changes for Daily/Weekly

We have fixed an issue that displayed and rewarded the incorrect amount of Coin from various activities

    Stronghold Matchmaking

We have extended the timer that allows for matchmaking in a stronghold. This should allow groups to fill easier when matchmaking

    Non-stop Rain
We have fixed an issue that was causing it to rain in game more than intended

    Fusion Proc Bonuses on Weapons
Weapons were incorrectly applying infusion proc/bonuses from being equipped when they should only have been applying bonuses from the weapon that was in the active slot

    Chests found in Missions changes
Chests found in missions now have less of a chance to drop higher tiered items

    Emotes Not Properly Saving
We have fixed the issue that was causing emotes not to save properly when bound

    Shield Fix
We corrected an issue that was allowing players who still have shields active to be one shot by high damaging attacks

  11. I know some of you have talked about the NPC's in the game just being static and not interacting with each other, not having those one off convos like they do in Mass Effect/Dragon Age.

I think its pretty clear that in a game like this wont ever be as deep as a single player game.  But later into the game, there are deeper conversations with not so easy choices between different characters as well.  Is it a Mass Effect level story, no, but its not bare bones skip every convo like Destiny or Diablo is either, which is what this game should more accurately be compared to.
