Peter Crombie, the 'Seinfeld' actor who played 'Crazy' Joe Davola, has died at the age of 71.

Peter Crombie, the “Seinfeld” actor who played sitcom writer “Crazy” Joe Davola on the show’s fourth season, died Wednesday after an intestinal illness. He was 71.

Crombie’s ex-wife Nadine Kijner confirmed the news on social media.

“It is with shock and extreme sadness that I share my Ex-husband died this morning. Thank you for so many wonderful memories and being such a good man. Fly free into the Un-boundless source of light, Peter. May you be greeted with love by your parents, and Oliver,” Kijner wrote in a statement on Instagram, also posted to Facebook. “So so many people loved you because you were a kind, giving, caring and creative Soul.”

In the popular sitcom, “Crazy” Joe Davola was a psychopath who terrorizes Jerry Seinfeld, even going so far as to stalk him and dress up as a clown to frighten him.

The agency recommended loosening federal restrictions on marijuana in August based on the scientific review.

    FDA review on cannabis dropped.

This should be its own thread because the whole point of the study was to clarify this after Biden's executive order. Biden may very well reclassify this in 2024 now.

For the shopping websites what's really brutal is the extent to which they've become marketplaces for random shit sellers and increasingly do not sell things directly anymore. I started shopping Walmart of all fucking sites because I felt like they'd be better than Amazon in terms of counterfeits but they've increasingly gone the shit vendor bazaar route too.

Also, Amazon apparently removed seller accounts from normal people like me several years ago. I forget the reasoning, but I had a perfect 5 star average and sold plenty of things I didn't need/want anymore, and it just... stopped. I think much of the Blu-Ray/DVD sellers were actual businesses instead of random people, which was nice to have when I first started buying off of Amazon.

It's already flooded with AI reviews. Fortunately the ones I saw did not say verified purchase.

But the SEO thing also means they'll change a product page to something else entirely so like a nasal spray has thousands of reviews for a toilet brush (actual example I found).

Amazon product pages are just a mess, period.

I've seen that last year and I think even the year prior. It was so confusing.

Switch led software and hardware sales comfortably in…

    Quote

Despite launching almost seven years ago, Switch sold over four million units in Japan in 2023. That compares to 4.8 million units sold the previous year, and lifetime sales are now approaching 32 million.

Its closest competitor, Sony’s relatively new PS5, sold almost 2.6 million units in 2023, which was a 124% increase on 2022’s total of 1.15 million units, reflecting greater availability of the console following Covid-related supply issues.

    PS2 sold a little over 2 million in 2005.

Disney-owned animation studio Pixar is poised to undergo layoffs this year, TechCrunch has learned and the company confirmed. While sources at the company
    Quote

While sources at the company said the layoffs would be significant and as high as 20% — or reductions that would see Pixar’s team of 1,300 dropped to under 1,000 over the coming months — Pixar says those numbers are too high. Rather, the studio said the number of impacted employees is still being determined due to factors like production schedules and staffing for future greenlit films.

The studio stressed the layoffs are not imminent, but will take place later this year as Pixar focuses on making less content.

According to insiders, the Pixar layoffs include headcount that was hired for Disney+ — hires Disney pushed on Pixar to produce for its streaming division, which hasn’t yet turned a profit.

  8. "Sea of Thieves, right---I'll say I've heard that is one that might be coming to other platforms. When I first started hearing these rumors, I was like, 'Oh this is probably about Sea of Thieves, because I've heard that could come to Switch and PlayStation.' And maybe that might be the kind of thing where like, actually all of this stuff is happening, and Microsoft is kind of trying to rejigger its strategy."

  9. I know I had a tv on the ground, having recently moved with nowhere to put it, playing Demon’s Souls Remake when I received the notification on my phone that the US Capitol had been breached, which was not something I was expecting to get a notification for at all.

    Maybe ever.

I mean, I agree, but 4-5 users is basically nothing.

True, but we have 32 users on right now, and they're cream of the crop. The top of their game. The apex of predators. The Johnny Cochran of defense attorneys. The magnum of opuses. The kal of woman stealers. The Steve Austin of wrestlers. The sayswho of name changers.

Same, and I'll likely be here through to the end too but I do miss all the activity and users we used to have around here. It gets kind of boring just seeing the same 4-5 users responding to each other in basically every thread I go to read.

I did enjoy the variety in 2011/2012, though I also think the smaller nature of the board makes it enjoyable to speak since I don't feel as if I'm stepping on egg shells. Reset has a huge userbase, but many times I just don't say anything on the off-topic board. And even on the gaming side, you have a lot of people suspicious of your motives for seemingly innocuous things.

We are already fascist my dude. We are actively aiding and abetting genocide.

If you include police into the list of defense budgets. The USA is on it twice. Once as the US military and in third as the US law enforcement. I saw that and knew why. Military occupations aren't cheap.

The tyrannical government is now and the only people movtivated to actually get shit done are the fascists that just want to go all in.

“a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition.”

A lot of what you stated is just stuff you don’t agree with or categorizing things in ways I don’t agree with. Fascism is the Heritage Foundation’s proposal to centralize power in the executive branch if a Republican wins this year.
